His jumpshot is as pure as it gets. He's like Eddie House inside the arc.

Pretty good defender, tho getting up in years so probably a step slow. Nice shooter -- nice mid-range, and solid from 3. Can't create his own shot.

Is this the guy we all feel should be at the top of our list for SFs?

I'm thinking Danny must be expecting to use a good chunk, but not all of the MLE to bring Sheed here and he is planning on a much lesser number for Parker to fill the need efficiently.

Thoughts?

Well, unless Sheed is going to take less than 4 million to come here, splitting the MLE doesn't allow us to offer Parker anymore money, since we could over him the LLE anyway for 2 million even if you use all the MLE on Wallace.

And I don't think Wallace is coming here for anything less than the MLE anyway.

That was my thought.  This must be a cheap way to patch the backup 3 hole.  I don't mind it.

Parker isn't worth more than the LLE.

He'd be a good fit, assuming he isn't washed up.

His sister, Candace, used to beat him one on one.

Just kidding.

He would be a great fit here I think. Great team player, can shoot, defend and play multiple positions. I like him, but only if it's for the LLE.
Carl: And, technically, he's supposed to be spayed, and uh, he ain't that. I know that first hand. Go ahead, ask me how I know. Go ahead. Ask me. Ask me how I know.

Parker was incredible in his first season with the Raptors. An elite role player.

Not so much in the last two seasons. He's a solid role player though. Similar to a Keith Bogans ... not someone you break the bank for, but for the LLE he's an excellent option.

I would prefer Matt Barnes over Anthony Parker for the LLE. He's younger and a better defender, but not as great from 3.

TP there.  Barnes is a beter all around player as well.  He gives you more options.  I'm just not sure how realistic Barnes is, and obviously Danny feels Parker is right in our wheel house.

It'll just come down to who costs us less.  Both will be a great upgrade (sorry TA...go enjoy some salmon and mashed potatoes).
