Before this "report" about Sheed coming to town, I was on the other side of the spectrum thinking that we are better off entertaining Rondo/Ray trades based on value. That obviously doesn't seem to follow along with Ainge's plans for the direction of the team. I was on this side mainly because the top FA's were all seeming out of reach financially for us, but if Sheed is willing to play here for less and this rumor is true, then we are in GREAT shape. That move plus signing Grant Hill or Matt Barnes, and hopefully bringing back Marbury for cheap will easily keep us in the top 3 in the East and contending for a Finals trip yet again. I hope all the stars align for us and our role players can agree to put their self interest aside for one season longer. If House picks up his player option, and we can bring back even one of Powe/Big Baby, then we would have not only the best starting 5, but viable backup options at every position, which we were lacking in a big way (mostly from injuries, but also lack of replacement signings last off-season).

Rondo/Marbury/  Pruitt/Hudson
R. Allen/House/Giddens/T. Allen
Pierce/(G. Hill/Barnes)/B. Walker
KG/Sheed/ (Powe/Baby)
Perk/Sheed/  (Powe/Baby)

I'm guessing if those type of signings happen, we don't have the $$$ to keep Davis and Powe does a 2 or 3 year reasonable signing due to his unfortunate injury. One of Pruitt/Hudson is waived, and Hudson, Giddens, Walker get more burn in the D-league and are afterthoughts come playoff time anyway. There is a stacked 13 man roster there; one that makes us the team to beat once again. If Tanguay is blowing smoke, then I move for organizing a tar-and-feather mob to storm his office. Who's with me???

Hush the rumors.  I'm still holding out hope for this guy.

Choo choo!  McmcmcmcmcmcDyess McmcmcmcmcmcDyess.  Choo choo!

I hate to say it but I think we have a better shot of landing Artest Sheed Iverson Kidd and about 5 others before McDyess comes here. I have yet to hear him even mention Boston as a place he would like to go. I have heard as of today even on ESPN Cold Pizza that he was mad that he went back to Detroit when he could have gone to the Cavs. But if he has mentioned Boston then I stand corrected. I just don't think he would come here I don't think he likes Boston for some reason. Don't get me wrong I would love to have him on the C's just don't see it happening.

I've been in the front of the bus ever since the Pistons started sliding down the rebuilding toilet last year.

I wonder if this signing will be a lot like the Sam Cassell and Marbury signings... a player we all collectively salivate over only to find out he's washed up and sucks.   I can't say I'm impressed with any of Sheed's recent work.

Look at Sheed hanging with Wilt, how could you not want this guy on your team?

I built the bandwagon for Sheed. He's a perfect fit for this team.

Unfortunately, I've alsoo heard rumors from sources more credible than Gary Tanguay that he will be in San Antonio next year, not Boston.

What I could see happening is Sheed and Richard Hamilton coming to Boston in a sign and trade for Ray Allen.  That gets Sheed more $$, and gives the Celtics a replacement for Ray.  Meanwhile, Dumars gets out from under that ridiculous extension he gave Rip.

LOL at some of those things you put in there fought the ref lol! and remains the only player to get ejected in an all-American game lol that is so funny
He fought a ref who was fixing games. Sheed hates cheaters and is a vigilante super hero.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Who Wilt sure, sheed ugh well yeah about as much as I wanted Starbury.  Can't have everything you want though so I'll begrudgingly get on board as well.  I reserve the right to say I told you so If this ******* gets a T at important time during the playoff game.

Rasheed isn't my first choice, but I'd be okay with him.  However, I don't trust Tanguay's "gut".

I'd rather keep ray

I'd rather split the MLE, and try to fill two holes.  Three players I'd target would be McDyess, Parker, and Grant Hill.
