I don't think people should post bad offers in this thread though. Not many people are even making offers and we don't want people to be even more gun shy.

The Chicago Bulls will never post an awful offer you make in this thread. "Chicago where caring happens"

I see of you guys making judgments on rounds but I see this draft in talent levels. About 8 to be specific. And when I trade I try to cross over into a high or lower talent level and not round. For example I think there is a very definitive talent level drop off in the first round  and that from mid way through the fourth until mid way through the 7th, the players are all in the same talent level.

So while a lower fourth traded for a lower 6th might seem bad trade down I see a low 6th being traded for a low 7th as being worse because of the crossing of the imaginary talent level line I have assigned in my player ratings and mock draft I did.

Last year I had 200 players (or so) ranked by 5 to 8 player tiers.

Looking to move down in the second round...

Looking to trade or just to field offers to gauge the value of your picks? Serious question.

To address any questions of 'if i'm just trying to gauge the value of picks', this is absolutely not true. Yesterday I posted that I would probably just wait until draft day, however, I have since changed my mind and am willing to entertain offers pre draft.

I'd love to say something cool like "I don't have time for this" but to be quite frank, I do have plenty of time to do so, but I have enough respect for other people's time that I wouldn't simply be testing the water to see what I could get.

To make myself one hundred percent transparent, my overall game plan is to get more picks in the 2nd round and early 3rd round. And I'm willing to do so through a multitude of different ways.

I'm willing to entertain offers for my first round pick (18) and would be willing to couple later round picks to acquire either a second or middle of third round.

I did 300+ players. After that it's a guess and toss up hoping someone floats to the top, so to say.

Good work, nick.  The only problem is, *nothing* is going to go according to plan.

Some of the trades being done on the board (i.e., the ones not involving Orlando) are mind-boggling to me, because I guarantee in most cases that there is better value out there.  GMs can do a little better by shopping around.

(Kudos to everyone involved in the Orlando trades, though.  Those were solid.)

Haha.  Only the Sacramento trade is out of whack; the Charlotte deal was a gift (literally).

AP- Toronto- In response to the recent "Firestorm," resulting over Toronto accepting SA's trade and declining the gem that Sacramento offered of a 7th and 9th rounder for the 12th overall in the 3rd round Toronto GM Rondo2287 said,

"I know I said that we could take all the heat, but sometimes a good point guard knows when to pass the ball so that the team can score.  Which is why I am stepping down as GM of the Toronto Raptors effective immediately. I will be replaced by former governer of Alaska, Sarah Palin."

When asked if Palin was qualified to be the general manager of a NBA franchise she responded,

"Oh you betcha, I played point guard in highschool dontcha know."

She followed this up with an enormous wink the magnitude the world had never seen before, she also said, "My time as GM will be a filled with, "Change that we can believe in and a change in business as usual in Toronto."(These mottos will surely be embraced by the people of Canada as people here think that Bush is still president simply because nothing has changed yet under Obama.)

She then immediately hired back Rondo2287 as "Chief of basketball operations and decision maker for everything basketball related."

When asked how he felt about his demotion, Rondo2287 responded, "Well actually im quite comfortable with a woman like Sarah Palin directly on top of me."

Actually I hope you're right because I have picks in the top of two of my talent levels and I'm hoping people in above one's fall. Hehehehe.  ;D

If there's anyone short on draft picks, Orlando has 8 picks in rounds 12 through 14 that we'd like to package together to move up.

Feel free to shoot me or GC a PM to discuss.

Take another look at that deal with Houston. Still, I'm glad to have you on the side of the law this year, Hobbs. Maybe it's Edgar's good influence and heart warming scrolling text.
