Agreed. RIP to an amazing musician.

I agree, his music was very good.  In that sense, though, Michael Jackson died 15-20 years ago when he stopped making good music and descended into a sort of post-musical-career hell involving escalating facial surgeries and pedophilia scandals.  

Luckily for him in about 15-20 more years all anybody will remember is the huge pop hits he had in the 80's.

the media built him up to unprecedented heights that we aren't likely to see again...

then they worked on tearing him down as much as humanly possible.  

I wonder if they will now turn around and report factually what his life was all about... glorify him now that he's dead.  He was eccentric, unbelievably talented and certainly quirky... but 90% of the stuff reported about him over the last 20 years was garbage.

RIP Michael Jackson.  I'm not gonna focus on the person he may have actually been the one we wanted to believe in, the humanitarian genius musician.

Also its a badly kept secret Michael was molested (allegedly by Berry Gordy or someone in the motown inner circle) during his childhood, doesn't excuse the things he may have done that was never proven, but someone asked higher in the thread so I'm putting it out there.
