Surprised by no rumors?

Is anybody else surprised we havent heard any new Rondo Rumors today? I was all excited cause I thought I would have some good rumors to distract me at work today.  Instead...Nothing!

It's either because Ainge stopped trying to trade him.

Or a deal is in place and it depends on how the draft goes. Like if Rubio falls Rondo gets dealt to the Kings, if he gets drafted higher up, no trade.

yes, silence means that either they are going to trade rondo and dont want to say so.

or they are not going to trade rondo and therefore have nothing to say.

either way ainge is just soooooooooo tricky!  ;)

I already would have expected there to be more rumors by afternoon today, but so far nothing new really.

We can always start rumors ourselves...

I heard from a very knowledgeable person within the Celtics organization that the C's (recognizing the importance of adding size to our frontcourt) have agreed to trade Rajon Rondo to the Miami Heat for center Mark Blount. Ainge was apparently interested in Vin Baker, but his AA coach deemed him untouchable. Ainge will look to fill the vacant PG position with free agent Lucky the Leprechaun, who is currently without a team.

Excited?  Call me depressed.  Besides being a phenomenal talent, Rondo is one of those players that makes you stop and rewind your TIVO for several of his plays every game wondering "how did he just do that"? 

I loved Big Al, and he was shipped out, but at least I had Rondo to fall back on.  Now, if they ship him out, sure I'll still love the C's, but it will take me some time to recover.

Like others are saying a little to quiet. That when something happens, nobody hears about a deal that goes down. Everyone just jumps on something negative and says that they are being traded, but the silence is a little strange we shall see, and the whole Rondo's agent thing is kinda scaring me. I do not want some agent in Rondo's ear saying "well they are saying negative things, and your name is coming up in rumors... Start to raise some hell" So we shall see what happens from here. I really hope we strike a deal with something because I hate a draft night where the Celtics don't do much. At least buy a pick in the first round or early second.

Pretty much the way I feel about this time of year, is when you don't hear any rumors, its because the gm's are to busy actually discussing something. So they don't spend time leaking rumors, posturing for the draft, ect.

We'll know soon though. I got a feeling somethings gonna happen.
