Tj Ford has been tweeting that he may be on the move and he'll find out more tomorrow. Any news on discussions the Pacers maybe having involving him?

Thomas Beer:

Word is leaking out of Indy that the Pacers are looking to deal one of their PG's – either TJ Ford or Jarrett Jack – this summer.  They may not complete a trade a tomorrow, but if they draft point guard, that is a pretty clear indication that one of those dudes will be moved…

I think Ford would be a great fit for the C's if Rondo is dealt. He is very similar to Rondo , has blazing speed and good court vision. Not as good of a defender, but has the foot speed to stay in front of his man .

He is also making a reasonable contract , about 8 MIL a year, probably in the price range the Celtics want to sign Rondo for .

Are they looking for a salary dump or to get real value, because is the rondo to memphis deal is completed, the only person we could trade with any value is Mike Conley (rudy gay would be too much obv). And i'm trying to decide who i would rather have between the two of them.

How well did ford play last year?

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Seeing Ford play live about 30 times last year, his stats are misleading.  He plays out of control and often wilts in big situations.  Combine that with his injury history, and he's a big gamble.  He also lost his starting slot to Jarrett Jack towards the end of the year, and those two had an altercation on the court in one of their final games.

He's a solid 6th man, but I'm not sure I see him as a starter for an elite team.  I thought he was a lot better before I saw him live.  He's decent, but I wouldn't give up much for him or sign him to a long term contract.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

maybe we could get him in more of a salary dump then, but the way you talk about him makes him seem like less than an ideal fit

Hell No! Everywhere that guy goes trouble follows. Ford is talented, but is a chemistry killer.

Ford doesn't excite me (especially with his salary and issues which I expect are much more bothersome than whatever Rondo's are) but I would take Jack as Rondo's backup.

I'm not aware of Ford's issues, what are they? Has he caused trouble ?

Well the fact that anytime he hits the floor hard you hope he can get back up at all is the biggest one....

Him and Jarrett Jack have gotten into a few fights this year. Plus he has a messed up spine.

Oh man if I was Jarrett Jack I would constantly challenge Ford to fights and call him "spineless" every time he turned them down. I'd have way too much fun with that.  :P  Ok, I really need to go to bed it looks like.  :-\ Tomorrow is draft day!

TJ has an attitude problem and is very brittle. He "screws the pooch" in big situations and is T/O prone.
