It's ridiculous to me how people seem to think KG is a personal psychologist for every troubled player. It doesn't work that way. With every trade proposal for a jerk like Artest, Rasheed, Iverson, etc, people always say its ok because KG will control them. Trade for Zach Randolph and KG will make him a great defender! It's just ridiculous. Remember, KG played with a lot of bums on the Wolves that he didn't seem to positively influence. Olowakandi, Ricky Davis, Blount, McCants. KG is a great leader, but he doesn't have the ability to change player's personalities.
Though, let's also keep in mind how much Perkins has improved since KG arrived, how much Pierce and Allen changed defensively, and how even cancerous Stephon Marbury shaped up when he came here.
I don't think it's out of question to assume that KG can keep (particularly young) players in line.
