Ray And JR Giddens. To Washington for Mike James, Nick Young, B. Heywood, D Stevenson, And the # 5 Pick.

Between Young, Stevenson, and Tyreke Evans??? James Harden??

We get are shooting guard of the future. And with Tyreke a Potential Stud For 12 Years, And Also we get are Backup Center.

If the Wizards won't part with Heywood I'll be happy to take Mcgee, their young center. Who I like a lot.

 The Wizards Start

 J Mcgee
 A Jamison
 C Butler
 R Allen
 G Arenas

 Playoff Team For Sure.

We trade Wally, Delonte, And The #5 For Ray.  I think this is fair value for Ray.

It's much more likely the Wizards would want us to take Etan Thomas.  I think it was reported they were trying to get rid of him and his contract.

I'm not sure I can put into words just how much I hate this trade. I give you effort for trying but no one but Young even remotely tweaks my interest, and that includes anyone we could get at #5.

Looks bad on paper i agree, and i don't think i would do the trade, we can get more. But all the contracts we are getting are expiring as well, so we could deal the people we're getting except nick young and the number 5 pick.

Well supposedly the Wizards might trade the #5 pick for Larry Hughes :o  This tells me two things. A) the Wizards are dumb and B) If they are not complete idiots they would be willing to give up more for Ray Allen (clearly better than Hughes). This is the team I'd be looking to deal with. If we get the #5, maybe one of Rubio, Thabeet, or Harden is available. Also we can use the #5 pick to get something out of the Knicks possibly.

Etan Thomas and Mike James: They are both expiring contracts, so they hold some value. My question is are they competent enough players at this stage to help as a back up big and a back up pg for us?

EDIT: Forgot to add the link. DOH!

I don't know. I think Nick Young, the #5, and whatever we can parlay the Washington expiring contracts for would be a pretty handsome return for Ray Allen.

I'm shocked that Washington is willing to move the $5 for Larry Hughes. I hope Danny Ainge is really trying to explore something with Washington. Maybe then swing the #5 pick and the expiring contracts for Amare.

Celtics:

Rondo, Marbury
Nick Young, Anthony Parker (for Roy Hobbs)
Pierce, Walker
KG, BBD, Powe
Perkins, Amare (also backing up KG)

the difference between Evans and Harden is huge IMO.

I might consider a deal involving Ray to get Harden, but not Evans and #5 i don't think is going to be high enough to land Harden.

i think the idea is larry hughes and the 8th pick for like thomas, james, songaila and the 5th pick -- a deal that saves them a couple million with the swap of picks. i assume you know they're not trading the 5th pick for larry hughes straight up.

Roy,

Just my 2 cents but there should be 2 different catagories for trade ideas: REALISTIC and NON!

Yeah I'm not a big Evans fan. Another possibility if we had the #5 would be to trade down with the Knicks at #8. They really want either Rubio or Curry and I don't think either will still be around at # 8. Maybe we can squeeze Chandler or Lee out of them. Of course a Lee trade couldn't be announced until July.

Yeah I would never trade the #5 pick straight up, but I'm just going by Vecsey's report. Vecsey specifically reports that NY then would try to trade the #5 AND #8 for the #2 and Rubio.

I'm sure people would be extremely objective in evaluating their trade proposals  ;D

This trade idea looks familiar...... Oh yea, thats because i suggested it about 2 weeks ago. All you did was take out Blatche and put in Nick Young. I liked the first version even better.

#5 in this draft is the equivalent of #17 in a good draft.  This draft is not good.
