The C's need a backup small forward behind Pierce,
Gerald would be a good fit,
he's 6-8, athletic and can score well.

His Defense will improve with Pierce, KG and Tom Thid
and the C's can resign him for minimum money,
low risk, high reward.

If Gerald can bulk up 10 -15 lbs, he will be a real good addition.

I'd honestly be OK with if we didn't already have Tony Allen, Bill Walker, and J.R. Giddens all filling the role of "wing with potential" on our bench.

We don't have room for another project, particularly at the 2/3 spot.

If Gerald can bulk up 10 -15 lbs, learn to play defense, develop some sort of passing game, learn how to handle the ball, figure out how to not get called for a charge every 2 minutes, learn how to shoot when open instead of drive into set defenses looking to dunk, show some sort of work ethic for the first time in his career, and learn how pick up any kind of scheme a coach is trying to teach him, which has so far lost him 2 other roster spots, he will be a real good addition.

Well, if Tony gets moved, we could have an opening at the "wing with a total inability to think the game" position ...
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

You know it might be worth it just to see bill walker fight him for the spot.  Yes bill who wanted to fight KG, McGrady etc.  Against Green who appears asleep on the court most of the time. :D

Forgot about that.  Good point.  We'll have to see what happens to TA.

Why sign Gerald Green when Anquan Boldin is available?
