But what they hey, lets look at it anyways.

Boston trades Ray
Receives Love, Foye, Gomes, Butler and Madson (waive)

Min trades Love, Foye, Gomes and Madson
Receives Chandler and the NO 1st

Chandler can play C thus allowing Jefferson to be the PF.  Then they can try and trade the three 1st round picks they have and expirering contracts to get the number 2 pick.

NO trades Chandler, Butler and the 1st
   Receives Ray

NO saves money over the long haul.  They can also sell this season around the three offensive stars they would then have.

Well, this leaves NO with no Center, and they actually end up paying MORE salary this year, putting them further over the luxury tax.  And for Minni, they give up two of their 3 best young players for a mid first round pick in a bad draft, and a Center that NO is probably looking to give away for nothing.

I like it for Boston though.

Really, what would make a whole lot more sense for both Minni and NO is trading Mike Miller straight up for Chandler.  This gives Minni their center, and NO saves about 3 million this year, and much more money next year, while also upgrading their SG position.  Unfortunately, this doesn't help the C's much, but it fits in better with those two teams needs.

Love would fit well on the Cs getting lots of minutes at both positions, but if Minny doesn't want to move him for the #2 pick, then I think he is one of the chips they don't plan on moving.

Love and Foye are two youngs that I really like, so I appreciate the effort to try and figure out how to get them here.

Now if there is a move that can get Minny #2 (Rubio) plus something else (eg a big like Chandler) then we might be talking....
