Bosh to Miami for Beasley, Haslem, and Chalmers.

Isn't a Powe a free agent?

Yes, Powe's a free agent anyway. And I think Powe is what he is - a good backup power forward. Not the kind of guy you get an All Star for.

I don't see why Miami would also include Chalmers in the deal, or why they'd have to. TOronto gets a very good young player out of it, better than pretty much any other team will be able to offer.

This pretty much pulls Cleveland out of it I think - they don't have the trade assets. And the money's worth more in Miami anyway.

San Antonio and Houston could also be destinations. Maybe Dallas too.
Go Celtics.

He wants to play in Miami with Wade.

Whether they have to include Chalmers is debatable, but they need a third player involved for salary reasons.

yes. And even if he were under contract and healthy, he'd be an OK trading chip.... a throw-in compared to Chris Bosh.

I'd love to see the Celtics somehow land a big time big man, perhaps after the next year or 2. Right now i want to tweak our bench and reclaim the title.

I'm not proposing the following question as a trade, but I'm curious to what people think about Bosh in a sign and trade for KG. KG is better on the defensive end right now, is a leader, and is the tougher player. However, Bosh may become the better player within the next year if KG continues to break down. You would also have a nucleous of Rondo, Bosh, and Perk going forward after Allen and Paul are done.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Why would Toronto do this? KG is near the end of his career , while Bosh has 10+ years left.

One could say the same thing about the Celtics less than two yrs ago with Al Jefferson.

I only do the trade if we get Bassy and Gerald too ;)

Because Bosh doesn't have 10+ years with Toronto. He is leaving one way or another and they might get left with nothing if they don't do something. Here, they get an elite player back who might be better right now and he can't leave for three or four years. Plus, KG has already demonstrated he is not the type of player to ask for a trade or cause headaches.

Sign and trade or sign an extend is probably the best case scenario for Toronto. I don't think it will happen, he'll play the year out and then sign with Miami/NY/wherever.

I'm fairly certain he will sign with Cleveland or Miami.  I don't see any reason for him to go to NY, NY sucks.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

I can see many reasons to see him in NY, and that's the same reasons like yours, the players he want to play that now are on Miami and Cleveland next year probably are going to be in NY, so I can see why he is going to be a Knick

LeBron being there would be pretty good incentive.
