If the rumor of Stoudemire for Big AL and #6 is true , maybe the celtics could get Big AL back for a package of ..

Bos sends: Rondo, Ray, BBD

Minny sends: Mike Miller, Big AL , #6 Pick

Why for Boston:

They get a great low post scorer ( probably best in the league) . They also get a serviceable starting SG who would be the 4th option on our team.

They also get the # 6 pick where they can draft Evans to be the PG of the future.

PG: Bibby or Miller  /  Evans(#6)
SG: Miller           / House
SF: PP               / Grant Hill( Vet Min)
PF: KG               / McDyess ( LLE)
 C: Big AL           / Perk

Why for Minny

They really want a PG on in the draft according to most reports. This would give them a top 5 PG for the next 10+ years. They also get a All-Star shooting guard who can still play at a high level and has a 20 MIL expiring contract that they could move at the deadline for more young talent and maybe a borderline allstar.

They also get BBD who would be a solid pickup to replace help replace Big AL.

Keep in mind we can't sign-and-trade BBD until July 8, well after the draft.

Yes I know it would have to happen after the draft .

I'm trying to put together some of the MIN  rumors and am wondering if they might be trying to team up Rubio and Amare.

trading Love to MEM for the #2 and Big Al and #6 to PHO for Amare....

That's not a trade I would do, we we can't lose Ray and Rondo just so we can pick up Big Al to start next to KG, then bring Perk off the bench. We are short two starters then have an unhappy Perk.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

but ur filling in 3 players not on the team or involved in your trade idea....u cant fill them in as a depth chart because it is completely inaccurate.  again, not being a pain, but its a pet peeve of mine in the trade idea threads.  it makes it misleading.

I would much rather do the trade idea that the poll is about on the front page.

  • Rondo = Good
Look, we either have Perk or we have Big Al, since we're not getting rid of KG.

I'd LOVE to have a front-court of Perk and Big Al for the post-KG era (one of the best young front-courts in the league) but in the meantime, Perk isn't going to come off the bench, and neither is Big Al.

Too bad we can't just combine Perk and Big Al into one super player - the resulting player would be 2x as good as Dwight Howard.

bad idea
al isn't a defensive player in any terms, he's really a pf which is kgs spot
rondo & ray are far far to valuable for this team for this trade
I like Al but I'd be looking for a young dependable or proven vet big who can give us minutes at pf & c as a sub.  Perk is one of the best defensive centers in league.  Yes he plays ugly compared to al's low post game but perk fits into our team scheme extremely well.

Wouldn't it be more inaccurate to leave it blank? I mean, obviously DA is going to fill out the roster with FA's and I think the OP playing GM here is being fairly realistic in his approach... Although this trade would never happen.

First I don't think this gets the C's better for this upcoming season which is the most important and if this ever went down Perkins would be the starter, IMO.

Also I see Bibby on this squad which again would be another downgrade.
