OK, while the post title is a bit snarky, he's an underrated PG in the league. Not yet 30, good work ethic, good defender and size for his position (6'-4"). Earned less than $1 mil last year.

Possible backup behind Rondo? He would be a good backcourt complement to House, providing size and defense (could guard opposing 2s, leaving House to guard PGs).

Note: not sure about his ability to run an offense. That'd be a major consideration for our backup PG, I concede. Perhaps someone might be able to comment here (Hobbs, you confessed to watching a few Sixers games last season, IIRC)?

Possible compatition for Pruitt to get that 'last player to be waived before the season starts' role.

 ;)

Roy will be contacting you soon.    ;D

Well, the slow days are about to increase.  The long summer is a starting for sports.

But I hear there is a new MMA match signed.  Can't wait.  Jose Consaco vs. El Wingador.

Well, at least his name is really cool.

Is Ivey better than Pruitt?

This is the question, and I can't say I have a definitive answer, although I would guess he is better than Pruitt right now.

I file this question away on the "things to consider when I'm bored and its raining" list.

Royal Ivey was a Texas Longhorn and I watched him more during his college days than his NBA career.  For the Horns he was a defensive specialist, think Bruce Bowen.
His ball handling is nothing to write home about, but it is better than House.  He is not a scoring threat outside of an occasional outside shot.

Even with his limited skill set he would be an upgrade from Gabe
