Well, that's the way it goes. Next year could be pretty awesome with a possible repeat Lakers, reloaded Celts, and Cavs team that will feature a hungrier than ever LeBron, and possibly Shaq.

  • Anything is possiblllleeeee!!!!!
Breen sounds so excited.

Everytime I hear Breen speak, I want to bash my skull into a steel door.  He is a horrendous play-by-play caller who doesn't know a LICK of basketball, and asserts his opinion when that should be left to the color guys, not that their any better.

At any rate, thank God it's over, and I can't wait for the Celtics to bring home 18 next year IN LA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still blame every single one of you who rooted against King James so that the underdog Magic could get throttled by the Lakers.   I hope you people can't sleep for the next 5 months.

If Cleveland couldn't beat the Magic, what makes you think they would have beat the Lakers?

The Magic could have had a 3-1 lead in this series, they just didn't have the experience

(1) Refs.
(2) Kidding on (1); the real answer is that it is about matchups.  Would Cavs have been a better matchup for the Lakers than the Magic?  Perhaps.  The Celtics would have been a better matchup and would have put up more fight than the Magic did, I have no doubt about that.

I hate to break it to you but we don't control that. We can only help the Celtics win.

  • Thank you Eddie!
This is the most illegitimate title of all time in US sports.  The three other contenders get KO'd by injuries or bad matchups, and Gasol is secretly forced to go to LA by Stern.  I hate the Lakers and everything they stand for.  They didn't have any manhood before, this doesn't change that.
"If David Stern ran the NHL, is there any chance his meal ticket's team would blow a Game 7 in Round 1? Put a pair of skates on Dick Bavetta!" -Bill Simmons
