 lakers now claim 15 titles .

Keep in mind that the first five titles belong to Mikan's Minneapolis team. Then they relocated to Los Angelos in 1959 (same year as I was born) and they kept the Lakers team.

The Los Angelos Lakers have won only 10 Titles - not 15.

We still lead 17-10 over the Lose Angelos Lakers and have beaten them 9 out of 11 times in the NBA finals.

I also heard that they are still pulling balloons out of the Forum rafters from 40 years ago.

This is the most illegitimate title of all time in US sports.  The three other contenders get KO'd by injuries or bad matchups, and Gasol is secretly forced to go to LA by Stern.  I hate the Lakers and everything they stand for.  They didn't have any manhood before, this doesn't change that.

Title has an asterisk next to it.  KG hasn't lost his belt... he merely vacated his title due to injury ... this mini tourney crowned a default champion, but not a true champion.  Next year two teams rightfully have a claim to championship.

The Ceptics line isn't a bad one though.  Never actually saw that before.  If I were into tearing into the Celts I'd use that one.  No worse than Fakers.

That is a pretty classic post. I wish Jeff or Roy would post that on the front page and email it to Danny and Doc 

But seriously, all this talk about how Kobe is absolutely the best player in the NBA is really annoying. His supporting cast is soooo much better than Lebron's. I hardly think his run in this year's playoffs was epic. Do people really think that they would have beaten a healthy Celtic's team?

People are just so short-sighted. Last year, it was debatable, after the finals, that Pierce was actually the best player in the league...and as much as I love PP, he was not even close. Good for Kobe- whatever- he did was he was supposed to do as the only unflawed team in this year's playoffs, but they almost lost to a McGradyless/Yaoless Rockets team and SHOULD have been down 3-1 going into game 5- they aren't that fantastic...

You really think it's passable? I mean who am I to dispute the clown prince of CB, but I'm not sold on it. Let's start a new thread about it, and include three Rondo trade proposals to settle it.  

All in all, we've seen better and more creative trolls. Not to mention trolls that can type without all caps, profane euphemisms, and general disillusionment. Well, maybe not the last one.

a healthy Celtics team repeats - especially if we had retained james posey - sorry, i know it's a tired topic, but i think the season proved that danny ainge simply made the wrong call on allowing posey to escape  .........  seeing as the #3 backup was our biggest weakness this year (along with the never-ending injuries).

ainge needs to pull a Red Auerbach type deal to strengthen and invigorate this team - examples being the acquisition of paul silas in the 70's that put us over the top and the acquisition of dennis johnson in the 80's that revived a championship group that needed some fresh blood to get back to the finals - and win.

your championship means less...you didn't beat the celtics to get it...like i said earlier...2-9 vs boston in the finals...still 2 titles behind and you are about to lose odom and ariza...LA won't get out of the west next season...the lakers need to stop living off the 5 titles the minneapolis lakers won...that is like the browns claiming the ravens last super bowl. LA has 10 titles....10 titles in 30  plus finals appearances...that is a suck percentage faker
