This is a build off the Ray to DC rumor deal.

Boston trades Ray

Receives Songaila, Crawford, Wright (or Randolph) and the 5th

Crawford steps into the starting lineup and the Celtics add some bench depth while still having the MLE to find the backup C and PG.

DC trades the 5th, Songaila, James and Thomas

Receives Ray

GS trades Crawford and Wright

receives James and Thomas

GS drop a player they do not want (if he does not opt out) for two contracts in the last year.

While I am not in love with this trade, I do like it better then the option thrown out there in the original report.

Char sends: Bell, Diaw #12 Pick

OR

Bos sends: Ray, BBD, Walker

GSW sends: Maggette, Crawford, and the #7 Pick or one of their young wing men

I really dislike the Char trade.  I just do not like Diaw, who seems to need to be an undersized big man to be somewhat productive.  Bell is a nice role player, but overall, there is a lack of talent coming back to Boston for Ray (and Davis)

The other GS trade is to much.  Absorbing one of those swingmen is enough.  Both are overpayed.  Taking both just doesn't work well.  (since one of them are not going to get the minutes)
