Crazy Trade Idea

Since everyone is throwing out crazy trade ideas I figured I'd throw out my own.
Here are some assumptions that I am undertaking in posting this trade.
1. Ainge has decided we need to trade Rondo because we don't want to sign him to a max contract soon.
2. Ainge really wants to extend the window by getting a top 10 pick
3. I'm not 100% sure on where the first round picks in this trade should go so I'd like your opinion on that
4. The Clippers are willing to do a lot to get rid of Baron Davis' contract and are also looking to shed salary.
5. The Warriors are willing to do a lot to get rid of Maggette's contract and are also looking to shed salary

Here we go:

Boston Trades: Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, future 1st rounder
Boston Recieves: Baron Davis, Corey Maggette, Kelene Azibuke, GS 1st rounder, LAC 1st rounder

LA Clippers Trades: 1st round pick, Baron Davis
LA Clippers Recieve: Rajon Rondo

Golden State Trades: Kelene Azibuke, Corey Maggette, 1st round pick
Golden State Recieves: Ray Allen, Boston future 1st rounder.

I'm not sure who we would take with those picks. Tell me what you think and please be gentle.

The weirdest thing about this to me is not LA trading Baron Davis and a the first overall for Rajon Rondo...its that if you add Goldenstate sending Ronnie Turiaf to the clippers (entirely feasible), the salaries match. Its actually kinda genius in a way.

That said, Boston wins out too much. Not really a feasible trade that LA sends away the best asset (1st overall pick), and the best player (Baron Davis) for a guy who has a promising but uncertain future in Rajon Rondo

What about if LA gets the 7th pick overall and we keep our future first?

We would probably then trade away Giddens TA and Scal for someone like Nocionni because we wouldn't want to overload the team with rookies. If we really are going for the small window I feel that a team with Davis, Maggette and Griffin might be better than a team with Ray and Rondo.

I am revisiting this trade because with all the smoke about Rondo I think this is a good trade. Please can someone respond to this?

I'm not sure Golden State would want to give up their first rounder. I thought it was low teens, but #7, no way they give that up.

Could we add in Davis in a sign and trade going to the Clippers, Powe in a sign and trade to Golden State, and get Turiaf from Golden State, maybe Golden State sends Crawford to the Clippers (something they also want to do)? I'm not sure how this works out financially, and what values you have to put on Powe and Davis to make it work, but here's how I see it:

Clippers: B Davis, Griffin for Rondo, Crawford, G Davis
Warriors: Crawford, Maggette, Azubuike, Turiaf for R Allen, Powe, Tony Allen, future 1st from Boston
Celtics: R Allen, Rondo, T Allen, Powe (S&T), G Davis (S&T), future 1st for B Davis, Griffin, Maggette, Azubuike, Turiaf

Our new lineup:
B Davis    House
Maggette   Azubuike   Giddens
Pierce     Walker
Garnett    Griffin    Scalabrine
Perkins    Turiaf

We could still use another wing player off the bench and a young backup point guard wouldn't hurt. If we could get Golden State's pick, I'd be all about it, but I just can't see why they'd be willing to give that up. If we could buy a pick and take Darren Collison, I'd be happy with that.

Whether your original proposal or my modified one, I think Golden State shoots it down, even if they would save a bunch of money in the long term.  Clippers might too, depending on how highly they value Griffin.
