Yeah the thing with Rondo is tricky. I seem to think he's more like the player who we saw in the regular season... than the player who played out of his freakin mind against a rookie in the Chicago series.
It just depends how great you think the #4 pick potentially will be. If Rubio is the next Pistol Pete.. well then...
Really. Or Harden could be the next Jordan or Oscar Robertson.
Or Rubio could never be the player Rondo is now, let alone the player he'll be in a year or two.
In the 07-08 playoffs Rondo was inconsistent but contributed much more than he did in the season. That seemed to carry over to the 08-09 season. I wouldn't expect quite as many points and rebounds for him with KG back next year but I'd expect him to play a lot better than he did during the season last year, and he was a borderline all-star then.
