Lets compare him to rondo:

Allstar: Marbury
You forgot championships.
Roy, Rondo was as useful as a volleyball in a basketball game during last years playoffs. The only game that stuck out was game 6 of the finals, but just because he showed up that one game didn't take the bad taste out of my mouth from the previous games....
you forgot games 1 and 2, where he was very good, or chose to ignore them.
6 was easily his best performance but 1 and 2 were also solid. he also had good performances at home vs. detroit and Clev.
And, if he doesn't hit back to back clutch three pointers in game 2 of the clev series when we were down 16, we would have been watching CAVS vs PISTONS.
you are right that he was bad on the road all of the 2008 playoffs, but thats the life of a young player.
Either I forgot, or it didn't amaze me, but I honestly don't recall him doing anything special in the finals but game 6...if he did then I was obviously to enthralled by watching Pierce putting the team on his back to bring us to banner 17.
Rondo has had his days where he is on fire, but more so then not he takes games off. Sometimes I want to pick up my TV and toss it when Rondo is still in the game after going 2-18 from the field, all of his shots are lay ups, I don't want to even know what his FG% is on jump shots alone. Besides that, his defense is all risk since he plays from behind. We basically have 2 no offense starters in Rondo and Perk, which makes it easy for teams to concentrate on the Big 3 alone.
Van Gundy and so many other coaches have played the "Make Rondo shoot" card and guess what, it works almost 90% of the time. I'm not saying trade him, or get rid of him, but I am advocating that he needs to erase A LOT of flaws from his game.....and I wouldn't put him as the poster board Celtics franchise player anytime soon..or ever...
