Marbury after a year off is still better than House or Shannon at PG.

I like him. I'll take him for a near a minimum contract.

I dont like the idea of house as a back up pg. He simply just doesnt have the size and strength to handle the ball. I think, having Brown and House as options would work - depending on who we're playing and the situation.
It worked better than Marbury or Cassell.

In a perfect world we'd have a backup passing PG with the size to match up against SG's and have him and eddie swap assignments on defense.

How great would it be if Jason Kidd decided to come play in Boston for a reasonable price? In a perfect world he would be the backup passing PG you spoke of who could guard the opposing team's 2 guard.

That would be awesome for a year contract, mabey we can brainwash him into signing a LLE deal  :D
I think Jason Kidd will be a near full MLE deal for two years at least. I'd love to have him, it'd depend on if we could get budget deals on our addition as the 3 and 4/5.

Why didn't he show it then? Our offense was better with Eddie at the point than Marbury.

And Marbury and the 1 and Eddie at the 2 killed us defensively and on the boards.

Because he was shut down anytime he got going offensively. And sat for entire quarters if not two quarters?

Eddie House is not a good PG. Period. He gets playing time because he can light up 3pt coming off screens.

thats not true at all. He very rarely got anything going, and when he did, doc road him. He got more playing time than his performance warranted.

I know your a big steph fan, but he was abysmal this season. I grant you there are qualifiers you can put in place to help explain his performance, but they don't change the fact that he did not impress enough to inspire confidence going forward.

Yes it is true, and no Doc did not ride him. He road him once in the playoffs.

You want to talk abysmal? Talk about Rondo is the biggest choke game of his career in game 7 against the magic.

That isn't true either, and in no way addresses the performance of steph in a factual way. We weren't talking about rondo, we were talking about steph's far below par performance as a whole.

I like his attitude, and was pleasantly surprised by his defensive efforts if not results, but he did not preform well at all on the offensive end.

i have no problems with him coming back to play backup point for us on a minimum deal, but i also have no problem replacing him based on his performance last year.

Kidd will never come to Boston, for obvious reasons.

Uh what? You're comparing Rondo to Marbury here right?

Rondo had 10 points on 4-10 shooting, 2-2 from the line, 6 rebs, 10 assists, 1 turnover, and 2 steals. Not a great game, and he certainly didn't make the Magic pay for leaving him open, but not a terrible game.

Marbury was 1-4 with 4 points 1 reb, 1 asst, 3 turnovers.

Love Marbury all you want, but don't take shots at Rondo for "choking".

Is Shannon Brown a PG?

He's never really played the position, has he?  His assist rate is nothing special, either; he has a career high of 3 assists per 36 minutes, and has a 13:10 assist/turnover ratio in the playoffs so far.

In the NBA he's been a betweener but he's a PG in my eyes and he played the 3 in college

Shannon is not a PG. All he does is bring the ball up (Which House can do) then pass it to Kobe. We don't have Kobe on this team, our Point guards do a lot more.
