not sure i do this.  are we sure that giddens can't play?  i'm not!  many people said the same stuff about rondo when danny traded up to get him, now he could easily be the third best pg in the game.  i'm still willing to give giddens the benefit of playing a few games.  can he be worse than tony allen?  he did start his career at kansas and only left after a legal incident.  he did not play himself off the team.  since transferring to new mexico, he's averaged over 15ppg and over 6rpg.  this includes the d-league from this past year.

Maybe after doing this the C's should trade Bill Walker for Donta Greene and then the Celtics can claim to have had every Green(e) player in the league having played for the Green team.

At this point, I think the corpse of Joseph Forte is better than Tony Allen. Therefore, I am all for taking a chance on Willie Green.

Carl: And, technically, he's supposed to be spayed, and uh, he ain't that. I know that first hand. Go ahead, ask me how I know. Go ahead. Ask me. Ask me how I know.

If nothing else, the Celtics are getting a read on the value of TA and JR.  (which is low)

I think TA and Scali together will be worth a lot more from cash strapped teams come trading deadline.  I would be fine with the Celtics holding onto those trade chips until then unless a sure fire upgrade trade is offered.
