Right now, there is a heck of a pitching performance being put on by Jon Lester.  I am going to leave it at that (and lets hope Eck does as well this time).

Red Sox fans everywhere thank you for wording this correctly. Orsillo better tell Eck to shut his mouth and if he does talk watch what he says.

I'm just glad Eck didn't blow this one.  If anyone was pushing the jinx envelope it was Orsillo.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

that was as dominating of 6 innings as I've seen....even better than Clemens 20k night.

The two long innings killed him, but he was smoking tonight!
sometimes you have to bite your lip, exhale and move on.  So, I have.

Agreed. I was at the game and up until the hit in the 7th I don't remember one hard hit ball. No 3 ball counts either. He was dealing. Those long innings tend to always have an effect. I was torn between rooting for our bats versus rooting for a quicker inning. I think I might have seen a perfect game if Texas's pitching wasn't so anemic.

I went to this game tonight. It was awesome. Lester was peppering the zone right from jump. I picked it up after the 4th inning but I didn't say anything. Would've been sweet to be present for history and that double by Young sucked the life out of the stadium for a brief minute. But it was good to see him with 2 dominating outings back to back. Missed Papi wrapping one around the pole. I went to get a drink and watched it on TV but a great game all around.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

Which one? ;)

Lester in a groove a beautiful thing...Lester and Beckett in a groove at the same time makes the Sox close to unbeatable in a 7 game series.  It's amazing they goy as far as they did in the playoffs last with Beckett pitching as poorly as he did.
Yup
