say what you want about 'recovery time' and 'muscle size'.

neither make you better at basketball...

Really? I think recovery time could have helped our C's these past playoffs.

wrong. the "steroids don't work" stuff (along with exaggeration of modern PED negative health consequences) are part of the anti-drug camps propaganda. put it this way - does lifting weights help you play hoops? if yes then steroids can help (simply by making your weight lifting more effective.)

If NBA players used steroids they would get faster and stronger and recover from injury quicker correct.  But wouldn't that mess up their shot?  Changing muscle mass so quickly would have to have a detrimental effect on ones shot, wouldn't it?

Unless it is ridiculous like the photo below, if a person maintains their flexibility through proper stretching to keep their range of motion, being stronger is only going to help an athlete with their longevity out there.

Not in terms of lack of movement but in terms of how much strength to put into the shot.  If you work out with out PEDs your muscle strength gains are not drastic and you can practice your shot and not notice much difference, but taking steroids can have quick fluxes in strength, shooting with the same effort but being much stronger could push the ball much farther than one would be used to.

Guys...

the dude accusing Wade pretends to be a baron. He gave himself the title.

Hardly reliable.

Also, did you guys see that Wade is suing the guy for an ice cold 100 million?

thats a 1 followed by EIGHT zeros.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Is anyone insinuating Wade be kicked out of the league or anything along those lines? The topic is no longer whether Wade did or did not do steroids but rather the benefits of steroids for NBA players. Also, as I look back on Jose Canseco I no longer put stock in the "unreliable source" theory when it comes to steroids. The moment that finger is pointed my eyebrow is raised and I don't care who it is.

I'll hypothetically give you the above, that it would ruin jump shooters, which is at least a theory as to why those players would avoid PED'S (TP4U for floating a decent theory out there, even if i dont really believe it, but lets say it were true)

Why wouldn't guys not known for shooting, I.E paint post players, want to get stronger?

Not really. Think about your shot at the first of the night versus at the end being dead tired. You adjust. A little extra on it and you are fine. If they continue to shoot while they are getting stronger they will be adjusting anyway. Maybe if they never played once until they got huge... That is why natural strength enhancement is the way to go. If they are cheating with Roids they deserve to not be able to shoot!

Look at Lebron when he was in highschool... he was a beast then he's a beast now. He is and always has been a beast.. not a small person who magically grew (barry bonds)

if the NBA does test good for them but who cares like you said it will not make you a better player at all..

who says lebron didn't take steroid while in high school? That is even worse, he would then have used them to get to the NBA. Also, he entered the NBA from high school, and hasn't been in the league THAT long

Nonsense. If Lebron used steroids back in HS by now he'd probably have some abnormal growth in his jaw or something... Wait. Nevermind.  8)

With health aside, there is probably no better performance enhancing drug than cocaine. When I played basketball in high school, a lot of my teammates used cocaine before games and during halftimes. So I have no doubts the same practice is going on in the NBA. As far as steroids go, it would be naive to think that the NBA is any different from the MLB, NFL, and NHL; every athlete is looking for a competitive edge. Without having any inside information about Wade, let me give you my honest opinion, which is, I think Wade is guilty of using both cocaine and steroids. I suspected this earlier in the season when I saw him play. As for the man who is accusing him, he is probably just out to damage Wade's name and possibly steal some money--like most people try to do in those situations. Nonetheless, that doesn't chance my opinion, For I suspected this long before this was "news".
