Boston trade Scalabrine, T.Allen & Giddens (ans 2nd round if necessary)
Golden State trade Belinelli & Turiaf

For Boston: Good Help from the bench with two versatile players
For Golden State: They take the worst part in the change, but Scalabrine with his 3P-shoot can be useful in their play, and plus all the contracts are expirings.

What  do you think about?

GSW will want Powe as part of the deal, no question (he is the golden local boy).
Celtics fan for life.

I haven't seen the Warriors enough this year to judge on Belinelli. However, is Turiaf so much better than Scal?

I would say no to this trade. We could get better in return for that package

Great trade for Golden State. Bad trade for Boston.

Golden State wouldn't do this trade. They'd want more for Turiaf.

I don't think this is bad for Boston at all. I like Turiaf a lot - he's one of the better options we could get as a backup big man, he can defend, he hustles, he's tough, he fits into what we do.

Not sure Golden State would want Powe. I think we overrate the "they want the hometown boy" factor. Are we desperate for JJ Barea because he went to Northeastern? Is Chicago desperate for Tony Allen because he's local? It works with stars like Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade, not for role players like Powe. I think his knee injuries are enough to make anybody, even his hometown team or his current team, think twice about paying for him. I still want to keep him, but I don't think he'd be the lynchpin of a deal. Of course, if Golden State really wanted to get Powe, I'd be happy to do a sign and trade sending Powe and TA for Turiaf. (I really don't care about Bellinelli). Then we resign Baby, and we've got a solid front court rotation of Perk, Garnett, Turiaf, Davis and Scal, and we can look for a 3/4 backup either with MLE money or in a trade involving Scal, Giddens, Pruitt.
Go Celtics.

LOL! some people in chicago are desperate to get Tony Allen, but it isn't the team or the fans.

  • Rondo = Good
Turiaf is a good backup big, I'd consider this trade.  Golden State loves to play small so Scal could actually be of use to them, and TA would be good on the break, I guess, if he ever gets healthy.  Plus they need better defense.  Even throwing in Powe would be acceptable because Turiaf is a safer bet for production at this point than Powe is.

That said...I don't think GS would do this trade.

I watched a lot of GSW this past season...Bellinelli is a tough gritty player that can supply some instant offense in a hurry but he is no Pietrus. He was hurt a portion of the season but he has his upside.Turiaf would be a good pickup.
