Not sure how much of this is true, since it's an ad for Foot Locker. But if his jump shot regimen is as he describes, what do you think? Is it enough?

He better be.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I know that's what Doc told him to do.  As noted in the Herald:

Quote
A backup also won't be enough. Rondo, who tailed off at the end of the Orlando series, continued to have a major weakness exposed.

``What happened to Rajon came from the way (Orlando) played him,'' said Rivers. ``Orlando made him the player who had to beat them. They took away Ray and Paul and put it on (Rondo).

``The playoffs will always be the toughest part for Rondo, because they'll always put it on him to make shots. But he'll grow from it.''

From that, I'm assuming the team is really focusing on jump shooting with Rondo.

Wow.  Rondo looks nothing like the Mack.

Rondo looks more like Lucius Best aka Frozone.

Throw in "working on being to work on time" and we're getting somewhere.   ::)

TP. Well said! How about also throwing in showing up focused to play EVERY game instead of just most of them...

I'd like him to also put in some more work on his floaters from near the hoop. It puts some pressure on the defense and will draw some fouls.

Yea, Working on the jump shot and continuing to grow up sums it up for me too.

There's a lot of harsh words for Rondo in this thread.

He's 23, averaged 17 10 10 for the playoffs and has an entire summer to step his game up even further.

You guys are being way to harsh on him. Its tough to improve a weak area of your game, and he improved this past season from the year before, so there's no reason to think he won't improve his J more this summer.

Its easy to tell someone to work out like a maniac. Its a lot harder to do it yourself, so ease up.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

One thing that a lot of fans don't seem to get is that working on something doesn't guarantee results. Rondo has been working on his jumper for a while, and it is still erratic. It is misguided to assume that he isn't working hard enough on it.

Maybe he needs to go work on jumpers with BBD?  Davis sure came on strong with the jumper after some early struggles this season.

davis could shoot that shot in college though. Rondo was always known as a great distributing PG who couldn't shoot, since HS.

I don't know about the jumpshot, but at least we know he's got Sole.
