Remember that play isn't any different then putting your 8th man in the game early in the 1st QTR to either hurt your opponents #1 guy or to start a fight to hope and get both players ejected. Getting Amare & Diaw suspended wasn't on Horry's mind I bet, but the intent to injure Nash to possibly keep him out of the next game most likely was. It wasn't a frustration foul, it was a how can I injure someone or take out one or more of my opponents foul. Actually Horry should have gotten 5 games suspended for that.
So you've switched from LeBron haterade to being a Suns fan?

You are a versatile kook!

this just depresses me more than anything, because I realize how badly we choked away a 3-2 lead and a chance at a title.  What a bummer, man.

Go LEBRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  A little help from the refs would be nice.  Fix this game.  Please.
We don't match up nearly as well with the Cavs without Powe/KG. Our front court wouldn't beat the crap out of the Cavs like Howard is doing.

Obviously Stern pulled strings to enable the exciting, "big market" Spurs to win 4 tittles in the last 11 years. Why wouldn't the same apply here?

James dives shoulder first into the defender and gets the call to go his way?? Stern and his incompetent band of refs(?) certainly are trying to fix things and Cleveland still can't get it done.

so in your conspiracy theory, the refs aren't allowed to fix the game in overtime, only regulation right.

Because, as we all know, they fixed the entire game to give the cavs a shot at overtime....but then they somehow forgot how to call the game for clev in the 5 minute overtime.

interesting...so the fix is in, but if you can last till overtime, the ref's forget the entire plan. good info to know.

I can see it now

Now we'll have to listen to 'Phil Jackson is the best coach ever' arguments forever.

'But he has the most titles durrrr.'
If a "Phil Jackson is the best coach ever" post ever appears in this forum, we'd have to move it to a "Joke Page" thread.

If Red were still with us, he would coach PJ under the table. And that's even with the league's resident superstars that always seem to be on Jackson's teams.

Phil Jackson is the league's 2nd biggest joke. Right after Stern and his refs.

I DID say that the refs were trying to fix it but Cleveland still can't get it done-OT or otherwise.

Why would the ref's call 2 and 1's for orlando in the overtime after going to massive trouble to fix the game under this crazy theory again?

and in addition why wouldn't they call the foul for lebron driving that he griped about to the ref for that would have put him on the line and instead let the magic get a steal on critical possession in OT?

There might not be aconspiracy, but if you dont think Lebron is getting way too many generous calls then i dont know what games you are watcing. Dwight had many plays where he was surounded and being hacked with no call. Lebron charges into a guy out of control and he gets put at the line with the chance to tie. We have perfect evidince of incompetent officiating right before our eyes. How does a guy as big and slowlike Z get away with taking three steps? I can understand to a degree when a smaller and faster player can get by unnoticed sometimes, but not him. He's too slow, he doesnt handle the ball well and he able to not just take small steps, but take 3 strides from the ft line and get to the hoop. You either have no business officiating a pro game or you are looking the other way. I vote the first, but who really knows.

"So you've switched from LeBron haterade to being a Suns fan?" Neither is true.  I'm just simply a fan of fair and balanced basketball.  If Nash put the hit on Horry I would be pulling for the Spurs in that series.

Using the phrase "fair and balanced" is a poor way to convince me your objective.

I do agree though that the Horry hip check was too much. But wasn't McHale's clothesline also?

It's obvious, but they can't be blatently obvious. But... whatever... I'm just offering my 2 cents.
