Gasol getting his touches in the 4th, Nuggets in trouble

nuggets were in trouble the minute melo was benched until 9 minutes left in 4th by his coach in a tie ball game for some reason.

What a shocker that when he finally got in the lakers were up 8. Way to bench your superstar and spot the home team 3 minutes of gravey time georgey-boy.

I mean serously, how do you not have your top scorer in when the 4th quarter starts, not like the first few minutes in a tie ball game are important or anything  ::)

be fair, george karl took control of this game and bent the nuggets over the wood barrell, the ref's didn't have him bench his superstar and run out a line up of: nene (cant shoot outside the paint) anderson (same) and K-mart (same) with smith and billups for 3 minutes.

I think my favroite part of that horrendous sequence was watching JR and billups get double teamed by whatever laker who's non-shooting big wasen't in the paint, throw up a horrid shot, and then watch karl's frumpy self shake his head like he didn't know how that could have happened.

"this lineup can't score and is having trouble defending kobe? how on earth could this have happened!"

wow...that was quite a pivotal call on what looked like gasol tripping while backing someone down.

gonna have to see the replay on that one, didnt get a good look at it in real time.

Terrible, terrible call to foul out Nene.  It's calls like that that lead to charges of bias.

right, because it couldn't possibly just be a bad call, it MUST be bias and the league must have a hidden agenda.

NBA officiating is awful, welcome to the association. This game has been poorly officiated for both sides all night.

That said, the pivotal point of this game isn't going to be a that foul, its sitting melo for 4 minutes for some moronic reason known only to george karl's pea sized brain.

Gasol's block on Melo looked clean; there was some marginal body contact, but he got all ball.

The block on Martin wasn't.  He was hit in both hands as he went up.
