I like this trade very much for the C's.

I don't think Chicago does it though. I would be very surprise if they do, Hinrinch is as good as Ray Allen( Yes im talkin about the 34y/o 2nd round slumping RA not the Seattle Ray Allen) so don'nt start defending Ray as if he is still the all star that he is coz he is not...he is still a [dang]ed good starter, but his days as an all star are sadly over. And Thomas is a way better upgrade over BBD and Powe combined plus he is young and can still be teached to harness his skill. Its would be a tremendous steal if DA can do this trade, but it won't be happening IMO.

Really?  You think all we can get for Ray's expiring contract is an overpaid Hinrich and Ty "I haven't played 2 consecutive quarters of good basketball ever" Thomas.  I mean sure the bulls looked good in that series but come on guys.  How does this make us any better?  We're better off just letting Ray's contract expire than to take on Hinrich's deal.

Come on the days when Ray Allen is a better player with more production than the combination of Hinrich and Thomas are gone.

So why do the Bulls make that deal?
to cut costs by getting rid of redundant players.

Pretty much couldn't disagree with you more.... Pretty small sample size that you are taking of Ray allen during his one bad series against orlando. Ray had an unbelieveable year this year shooting wise and consistency wise. A lot better year than he had during our championship season and did you even see the Bulls series? He was absolutely insane. No, serisouly did you watch that series? He put on one of the best shooting displays ive ever seen in that triple overtime game. And you're saying because hes 34 he Kirk Heinrich is better than him? Haha thats such an insult.....Then you go on to say that Tyrus Thomas is a better player than BBD and Powe COMBINED?? Thomas may have more potential than both of them combined but i certainly don't think he is a better player than them combined. Do you really think we would have done better after KG went down if we ahd Thomas instead of BBD? I defitneily don't think so..... That said though, if we let Davis walk and Thomas somehow landed on our laps i think KG would be a perfect mentor for him (as he has been for Davis)

I'd like the trade if we were in the stockpiling of talent phase that we were in a few years ago.  However, the goal now is to squeeze out a couple more title runs- that's the plan, or else we never would have traded Big Al for KG.  Right now Ray Allen wins you playoff games, the other guys, not so much.  I do like Hinrich but Thomas strikes me as an athletic dufus.

the problem is, the C's have no real means to significantly improve the team as it is currently constructed and as it is currently constructed the C's are not going to win a title.  Sure the trade downgrades the SG position (though not as much as one would think at first glance), but the trade adds 2 players that combined will be better and that fill in holes on the team.  It also gives more flexibility for future trades and what not.

Ray Allen was not the problem this year. The problem was that KG got injured. If KG stays healthy than you are not talking about trading ray allen. You are talking about home court advantage against the cavs in the easter conferenece finals. The problem was KG because he was injured. Do you think if we swapped heinrich and Thomas for Ray Allen in the past series against the Bulls that we would have won??
