"That is not how it always works". Yeah that is how it works.  Orlando won tonight by 30, refs are cheaters.

And further, I find this post rather silly.

You quoted Faf saying, "That is not how it always works" (boldface mine), as in not every series follows the pattern you suggested in as cut-and-dry a manner as you implied.  He then provided an example of this (in fact, I thought of the same one when I read your post), which using a fairly literal construction of "always" would prove his points on its own.

But I'm coming to learn that this particular argument is liable not to be worth the strain on my fingers.

The Cavs had 6 guys in foul trouble to the Magic's 2.

The reffing has been awful all throughout the playoffs.

But the Magic got the calls tonight.

ORL didn't get anything close to the calls tonight.  Every call they got was the correct call, they were given nothing.  You like that block to by Superman at the end however the refs will continue to diminish his accomplishments.

Do you realize how pathetic Lebron James' teammates are?

If Lebron James made 1 or 2 baskets, let alone shoot 55% like he has been all playoffs, the Cavs would of won tonight's game despite the ineptitude of the Cleveland roster sans Lebron.

Howard has capable players surrounding him and off the bench.

Lebron has Delonte West and a bunch of big men who can foul Dwight.

That's all Lebron's got.

The NBA knows this that is why the refs are Lebron's side too. They feel bad for Lebron.

LeBron's teammates are pathetic because of how Lebron plays the game. Handles the ball way too much, shoots way too much. Yes his teammates aren't good players, but if KG was on their team instead of Lebron they would be NBA champions this year no problem.

I am sorry, but this is a nonsense argument. Lebron has a much better team around him than, say, Dwyane Wade or Joe Johnson.  It is certainly not all his doing that his team is among the top in defense.

If you put Lebron on the Heat, instead of Wade, they win 70 games.

If you put Lebron on the Hawks, instead of Joe Johnson, they win 75 games.

If you put Lebron on the Lakers, instead of Kobe, they win 80 games.

If you put Lebron on the Celtics, instead of Pierce, they win 82 games.

Every call they got was the correct call, they were given nothing.

How can the refs be totally inept and terrible AND cheating for the Cavs (as you've said before) if a) every call that went in Orlando's favor was the correct call and b) they were making those correct calls? If they suck, they should have missed some of those calls. If they're cheaters, they should they have missed some of those calls for Orlando on purpose.

But you're saying they did neither a) nor b).

There seems to be a logical disconnect in your argument.

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I'm as much in the "LBJ is clearly the best player in the league" as anyone these days, but would you mind explaining to me how LBJ playing with Miami's miserly supporting cast and rookie coach Spoelstra would somehow lead to more regular season victories than his Cavs team had this year?

Though it hasn't always been evident in this series, LeBron plays with a frontcourt that does a terrific job defensively and on the offensive glass, and just about every guard who played significant minutes on this team proved capable of stretching the floor and knocking down threes when help converged on Bron.

Dwyane Wade played with Udonis Haslem, the worst incarnation we've seen of Shawn Marion for half the season, the corpse of Jermaine O'Neal for half the season, a rookie point guard (who did an admirable enough job but still made plenty of mistakes) and a rookie swingman whose focus and consistency waned at times.  Joel Anthony averaged 16 minutes per game for this team.

I get the concept, but I think the hyperbole is a bit strong here.

If you put Lebron on the Heat, instead of Wade, they win 47 games, MIA supporting cast is worse than CLE

If you put Lebron on the Hawks, instead of Joe Johnson, they win 50 games.
Same thing with ATL

If you put Lebron on the Lakers, instead of Kobe, they win 65 games.
Kobe is Lebron they are both crybabies.

If you put Lebron on the Celtics, instead of Pierce, they win 0 games.
Doesn't happen, no such thing.   The word "Lebron" is the exact opposite of the word "Celtics" and the word "KG"

CLE had 24 more FG attempts tonight than ORL. They had 3 more offensive rebounds than ORL -3, 2 less steals +2, 2 more turnovers +2, and 16 less free throws -8. Total +7. So that still gives CLE 17 more shot attempts and they still lost by 10.  How can that even happen? Go ask the refs.
