Ok so he is very disliked out there in Golden State and looks like he will opt out.. What are the chances that he could maybe go to Boston? Now before you jump all over me for this. Think this we sign him to a full MLE which is 5.5 mill a year for hmm maybe 4 years. That would make him perhaps the starter after Ray is done. The only reason I could seeing him taking a MLE offer is because he already got a huge deal with the knicks and people might back off the idea of signing him to a huge deal. So how about him being our 6th man. With a second unit of..

Eddie
Crawford
S/F maybe udoka for the mim. or Hill
Big Baby
Powe or another sign.

We could allow Craw to bring up the ball and Eddie to run around! What would you think of the idea of Jamal Crawford everyone?

I don't really like this idea. I never really liked the way Crawford played. I felt he was to concerned about his stats.  I feel like if he came to Boston he would just shoot every time he touched the ball.

An Eddie House type, good shooter. Like mentioned though not the best team guy. I wouldn't be opposed to the team taking a chance on him though. Good long range shooter.

Well we took a shot at Stephon and he did fine with it. So I think he would be a perfect back-up for Ray Allen.. Just my thoughts

I don't think its a terrible idea, but there are more players I'd be more interested in first.  Especially Trevor Ariza.  With Bynum's extension kicking in and losing Odom as well, LAL might not be able to resign him.  He's not at the top, but Crawford is on the list of potential options.

I'd be very surprised if Crawford opts out -- he won't make anywhere near as much money as he's due.

Agreed.  Crawford isn't going to give up $19.5 million over two years to sign a MLE deal.

I get that he wouldn't get that money back but Nelson hates him out there he was rumored to be traded as soon as he got there.. We need a [dang] scorer off the bench and then a SF who can defend and chip in.

Great Idea. I would gladly take him, we need offense badly. But tell me why would he opt-out. $20 million over 2 years isn't bad. If i was him, i'd tell coach to screw himself and PAY ME!

Cause he wants a ring duhhh.... Sorry i just would really love this guy. He can handle the rock very well and could cause a lot of problems. He has the length to be a decent defender as well

I mean the main reason i would like this,is beacause we would actually get a guy that can create his own shot i mean our only scoring off the bench is from Powe baby or house.. And no one really to create. So you bring him in he can dribble, shoot, drive, and can pass well too. I think he would be perfect for the celts

He won't opt out, but there's a reason why Crawford has never played for a team with a winning record.

How? He has never been on the open market? He was drafted by the bulls then traded to the knicks where the re-uped his contract and then they were cleaning house and was sent to GSW. He never has been a Free Agent.
