Moon doesn't deserve more than a min. salary. Maybe the LLE. But he's not a good defender and he certainly isn't a slasher. If he was all that, Toronto would have kept him. Moon isn't much of an improvement over Tony Allen, so I don't think I'd make him a priority.
is Moon really not a good defender. I always thought he was pretty active on the defensive end when i've seen him play.
and again, i don't think it's fair to compare wing guys that can move over to the PF in a small ball lineup to TA.
and generally speaking, TA is a SG and Moon is a SF....
See my answer re: Outlaw, I'm not thinking in positional terms, I don't think that's important.
Moon will collect his share of steals and blocks, but he's part of the reason why Toronto's perimeter defence was probably the worst in the league. He's too raw and dumb to be considered a good defender.
i think you have to look in positional terms. especially after watching what Lewis and Turk did to us in the playoffs.
Scal certainly is someone you could theoretically put on both those guys, but it didn't really work too well in the actual games and TA you certainly can't put on either of them.
not having a Posey type guy really hurts us IMO. and comparing possible replacements to TA doesn't seem too helpful to me because TA simply cannot guard those guys. they are too long for him.
As for Outlaw and Moon, I like Outlaw better. but both would actually fit the role that i believe needs to be filled.
