I don't understand it. Our starters are tired, they logged huge minutes during the year and in the playoffs. Why not go to the bench early for some energy.  Makes no sense Doc. Any complaint that people can make about Mikki,Tony,Gabe & Bill are just completely outweighed by the fact that our starters are tired.  They just didn't have energy. They passed up too many shots and were too hesitant.  I just don't understand it whatsoever and I don't want to get into a discussion of how are bench players aren't good. I know our bench isn't that good.  I would still take energy over low talent any day. Reminds me of Game 7 2005. I know many of you don't like Mark Blount, but he played in all 82 games in 2005 and every playoff game. He got 0 minutes in Game 7 and we got crushed by Pacers.  If you play the bench early and you lose then you can complain. But if you lose the game and you only go with 8 guys it is frustrating, we really needed energy tonight.

Are you serious?  It was a Game 7.  If you don't play your starters in a Game 7 then you have no business advancing anyway.

Again, I don't understand any of these comments. Yeah the bench wasn't contributing because 3 bench players Tony, Mikki and Walker were completely not playing. Why not do it in Game 7, the starters were extremely tired that was very evident. As tired as they were there was no way there were playing at 100% of their capabilites.  Orlando plays 10 guys every game.  Now I am supposed to believe that Gortat,Battie and Anthony Johnson are head and shoulders above Mikki, Walker & Tony. I'm sorry I just do not think that.  I mean we gave up on Battie 5 years ago, and now here he is playing and getting minutes with the Magic while we have no 9th or 10th guy.

You people keep saying the bench stinks, Mikki TA Walker Pruitt are no good, etc. Now just answer 1 question for me were the starters A:full of energy B:like they usually are C:tired D:extremely tired.  I think the answer is D, let me know what you think.

Gortat is better then Mikki Moore, and I would rather have Anthony Johnson then TA.  Battie, I won't speak on because I've had a man crush since his Celtic days.  The celtics bench has been AWFUL, but did we expect anything different?  We lost 2 main contributers to the bench when KG got hurt and Davis moved to the starting line up and when Powe went down.  Unfortunately injuries happen, they just happened to hurt the Celtics a lot this year.

They are.  Tony is a turnover machine.  Mikki is a fouling coat rack.  Walker is still very shaky, which is why he's only in when we're up by 50.

If Orlando was down double digits in the 4th quarter, they wouldn't have played their bench either.  If you're going to lose, you need to lose with your best players on the court.

Yes, star18, the Orlando Magic bench is vastly more talented than the Celtics bench.

Orlando plays 10 guys every game. Our starters were exhausted, absolutely exhausted it just never works that way, they only had high energy on a few plays and they needed it for most of the game. Starters were just way too tired, I don't see how that outweighs any lack of talent our bench has.

You're severely underrating the lack of talent on our bench. Players like Moore, Walker, etc., you only play when your starters are dead, seriously injured, fouled out or in deep foul trouble, not when they're simply tired, no matter how tired they are.

What do you mean, you people?

Your entire argument is unjustified.  Regardless of how tired you think that they were, you need to play your best players when facing elimination in the playoffs.  The fact that you'd rather see Walker/TA/Mikki/Pruitt over the starters just baffles me.  Did you just start watching basketball last season?  Have you ever watched a non-Celtics game?

Hold on a second.

The Celtics had a bench?  I wasn't aware there was a bench for Doc to play.

I was a huge Doc critic tonight.

But you are basically saying where should play our opponents style of game each game. Yeah that is brilliant.  ::) That is what they want us to do.

what bench? Mikki Moore was banished becuase of bad play, TA almost lost us a game against The Bulls, BBD is starting, Scal was playing, House was shut down, and i thought Marbury did his job tonight and actually played better than Rondo... so i guess i agree with you, we should have played Marbury AKA our bench.
