    This postseason:

    Negatives
    • Rondo isn't the top point guard we all thought he was, yet.
    • Glen Davis isn't very good at defense.
    • Rondo isn't this lockdown defense he was made out to be coming out of college.
    • Pierce can't hit clutch free throws anymore
    • I just wish Garnett would have been on the court. If my team was in the playoffs, the only thing that would have stopped me from playing was them having to amputate it.
    • Tony Allen and Mikki Moore (not really new) are useless.
    • The bench is no just bad, BUT AWFUL.
    • KG is not just a stud defender himself, HE RUNS THE DEFENSE HIMSELF.

    Positives:
    • Kendrick Perkins is a beast.
    • Scal can still contribute

Thats about it on the positives.

DA has some work to do this offseason now that we have no 1st. After Pierce, Rondo, Perkins, Allen, Garnett, BDD, Powe and maybe Scal. No one should be back.

  • Let's Go Celtics
I'm excited about the possibilities coming from this offseason.  While it's all happening they will be getting rested and healthy.

The biggest positive I'll take from this playoff run is Perk.  He played a great series against a great player.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

There defense severely lacks what it had with KG.

Like the future for BBD and Rondo.

BBD definitely needs to work on defense ALL summer. He can score but it is useless if you let them trade baskets on the other end.

let the smoke settle, and think it over for a day or two, there's a whole lot more positives than you're giving...

a guy who was our 3rd string pf went on to average more ppg than a future hof forward he replaced

Rondo is far better than we thought at the end of last season (he developed obviously)

this team has a 5 man core coming back next year barring something unusual - its time to build the bench in the offseason with hungry veterans - we have enough youth right now imo

Negative: Rondo 3rd year in the league and still can't shoot. Pierce choke monster. Ray is really really old. Our bench should resign from the NBA. BBD can't make a layup.

Positive: KG returns next season

Nothing. I already knew I don't like Baby and TA, that without KG this team is lost, that Ray and PP can't be consistent without a scoring big commanding a double team, that Rondo will be sick once he gets that J down.

KG was out for the whole playoffs, that's the only point worth noting, beyond that same old same old.

BBD is over rated and under skilled in the core tools of a PF. Whoever gives that guy big money will regret it. Small money he can be a solid bench player.

Rondo decided not to show today. I was surprised because he usually gets up for big games. If you hadn't seen the two you would have taken Alston after that one. He needs to find it in himself to come to play every game...

PP is slipping over the hill. He can pull it together for a great game here and there, but doesn't have the physical tools anymore to carry us. His defense is completely awful and if the money worked I actually would consider trading him straight across for Pietrus.

It's time to add some talent on the bench, however with our contracts I am not sure how that can be done.

Rondo is a moderately talented coach-killer who thinks he's better than he is. Quit obsessing on rebounding (a secondary skill for a PG) and learn how to shoot, Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.mit. Big Baby will give you directions to the gym where he shot jumpers every day last summer if you get lost in your Red Bull mobile, Rondo.

Pierce had a secret injury.

Without KG we are a mediocre defensive team.

With or without KG we are a perimeter offensive team.

Doc still doesn't know how to figure out a GD rotation. Rondo and Starbury together? House at point guard? Starbury at off-guard? Three-guard line-up? This is what practices are for, Glenn, not for experimenting in the second round of the playoffs.

If KG didn't get hurt, we would still be playing next week. But we'd still have an uphill battle against Cleveland.

We need a big and a wing who can slow down LeBron when Pierce is on the bench to compete next year.

Maybe while Baby teaches Rondo how to shoot, Rondo should teach Baby how to rebound...

  • Thank you Eddie!
BBD, Perk, and Rondo all improved greatly in the playoffs.  When they're healthy next year, the Celtics are a mortal lock to win the title, maybe win 70 games.
