It's kinda obvious that all the close games have been frustrating to all us Celtics fans, especially those hardcore enough to live on Celticsblog.

From ______ sucks to detailed analysis of turnovers, we're all a bit testy and thin-skinned (myself included).  Even the "tongue-in-cheek posts" have the bite of satire.

With that in mind and no Celtics until Sunday, just wanted to back it down a notch and say cheers to all the other fans (yeah, even you fans of other teams) on CelticsBlog who make the whole experience so much more fun than simply screaming at the screen by myself . . . and having no one to celebrate or vent with.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and arrives ready and refreshed Sunday night.  Cheers!

Good topic.

I hope that all the analysis doesn't shroud the one great truth of this post-season:

We've taken a badly frayed deck and competed pretty well through two very difficult series against two stalwart opponents.

From where I sit, no one sucks and such criticism should be beneath all of us as Celtics' supporters. There are variables we could handle better, and I hope that we will.

We're going into an off-season full of uncertainty: from Garnett's injury to management's commitment to giving Doc the weapons he needs to win a title. But the one thing of which we can be certain is the guys in green left standing will give us everything they have.

That's all anyone can expect.

Thanks TtLG!  My nerves have been frayed and stretched and stretched again.   But, I have never doubted this team.  They are playing with incredible heart.  When KG went down they weren't given a chance.  They won 62 games.  They weren't given much chance against the Bulls and they pulled it off.  They have been doubted in this series and have held their own.

They are missing 2 huge pieces to the the team in Powe and KG.  Yet the others have stepped up and filled in for them.

They are playing hurt and tired and yet somehow keep going.

I love this team and am very proud of them.  I have been re-watching some of the wins in the playoffs so far.  They have won on heart and team play.  Most teams would have given up when faced with the injuries and the obstacles that this team has faced.  But they never give up.

Sunday they are going to make us all proud and win game 7.

Nice thread.

I think it's important for all of us to remember that even though we each have our own viewpoint, that doesn't mean we have the *correct* viewpoint.  There's no correct way to be a fan, and I think it's important not to put our own notions of what's proper on to others.

No question at all that Scal's contributed quite a bit in the playoffs so far.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
I've made my peace with the adversity of the season, and haven't been really nervous between games since after Game 2 of the Chicago series (during games, COMPLETELY different story).  I don't like a lot of the negativity that's so quick to come out here at times, but I understand people deal with the emotions of being a fan differently.  It's just the Internet anyway  ;)

Win or lose tomorrow, I'll be proud of this bunch, but I really want to see us advance and keep this run alive.

This thread is a good idea!

Personnally I always feel bitter and frustrated after a loss, but the day after I usually move on and get pumped up for the next game. I don't like to blame somebody from the team in particular for a loss because it's always due to many factors and there is always the next game to move on.

For example, yesterday I was mad at the game 6 loss and worried about game 7 but now I'm feeling good about the C's chances for Sunday's game 7 and I can't wait to watch it, even though I'm still a little bit worried, of course.

It's always interesting to read people "live" reactions after a loss, when they criticize a player or say he must be traded, and it's often even funnier to read it again once the Celtics have won the following game and the player who got blamed two days before gets praised because of his good performance.

Emotional reactions are part of the game, whether it's for a loss or for a win and it's always interesting to read the fans reactions on Celticsblog in my opinion.
