Ronnie Brewer, and either Andre Kirilenko, or Carlos Boozer.

To me Boozer makes more sense for both teams.

Utah would have a starting Lineup of

5 Okur

4 Milsap

3 Kirilenko

2 Ray Allen

1 D Williams.

That would be an exciting dynamic shooting team we also give them Walker or Giddens, to give a young athlete back.

Utah will not win a title in the next ten years. They seem to play to be very good not the Best, maybe it's a financial decision, who knows. but there always really solid, and never get over the hump. And Ray is a great fit there, because they love class individuals, (who can shoot).

And to me, a dream trade for us. Brewer is the Perfect fit for me, besides the fact he stinks from three. But so does Ray in the Playoffs. He's a great athlete, Defender, humble, would do exactly what he's told. and score 12-15 points a game and shoot 50% from the field. I love Brewer, exactly the type of guy that's realistic to replace Ray.

And Boozer. Come on. A God-Send. Dont know how the Minutes would spread out, but With Perkins and Boozer at Center.

And KG, and Baby and Powe and Scal, at Power Forward. That gives us the Extra Body and Bulk we need to keep everyone healthy and rested.

And just think those extra touches and shots ray was taking now go inside to Boozer, and KG, And Perk.

And Rondo and Pierce gets more touches and Eddie gets to shoot more.

Honestly who thinks we wouldn't be a better team. Tp for a solid argument.

What's your definition of "solid argument?" I believe Boozer is a FA this Summer (if he opts out) or he has 1 more yr. I don't think Utah makes this trade. As for us, I'm not that sure about Brewer and I'm also not sure about Boozer long term if we needed to extend him. Would Boozer be ok coming off the bench? Most likely not. He wants 1 more pay day. As bad as Ray has looked this series, I think he should remain a better complement to our squad than Boozer next yr, so unless Brewer became Monta Ellis (without the moped) when I wasn't looking, I'd pass. That's my argument...

I'd rather keep Ray Allen. Thanks.

I'm not a big fan of Brewer, Kirilenko, or Boozer. I'll pass.

If you don't like our current team, go support someone else.

We don't need people who don't back our players.

Ray helped us get banner #17, without him, there would be no banner #17.

Start showing some respect.

I disagree, I wasn't so sad when Sam I Am was traded - he helped get us 17 - we do need to avoid the mistakes older title teams made by not being willing to trade guys who helped them get there in the past, not saying trade Ray for the first thing that's offered, but if the right package comes along, you have to listen to it

I like Brewer a lot, and Boozer is obviously a good player.  However, I don't think that that combination would be a good fit for the Celtics.  Brewer would leave us with two players in the back court who can't consistently shoot, especially from distance.  Boozer (who would have to agree to come here in a sign-and-trade) wouldn't be happy backing up KG or Perk.

As for Utah, I see no motivation for them.  This deal leaves them with an older player not in their long-term plans, and no financial flexibility.

Now, if the trade was for Kirilenko, it makes more sense for Utah, as they can shave a year off his terrible deal.  However, I want no part of AK47 and his perpetual whining.  He's the anti-ubuntu.

Trade Ray for an expiring contract and/or 2nd round draft pick, and sign Ben Gordon to a 3 year/$24 million contract.

Or just trade Ray since he's on the verge of being toast as a player.

Perpetual means continuing or everlasting..I recall once during the off season he complained.  Never before then, never after from what I'm aware of, so to use perpetual there doesn't make sense.  Sorry, I'm a big AK47 fan, and other players have complained way more and don't get nearly as bad a rep. Not calling you out R.H. but perpetual wasn't the right word to use. Headcase for sure might have been better, but I see the point you were making at least. ;)  I think he'd fit in well off the bench here but obviously I wouldn't give up Ray for him.

I honestly am not a fan of trading Ray unless it were the almost perfect deal, which I don't see happening.

???

Ray is already an expiring contract! This makes zero sense! The added 2nd round pick is most likely a wasted roster spot. We already have plenty of 2nd round talent.

Last year the Big Three won with a bunch of kids around.
Why would You trade one of them when the team grew up (and will grow further next year)?
I am sure that Danny will give them (at least) another shot... (wasn't it the plan to bring #17 in 3 years?)

This isnt a video game where you can just trade players at will.

First, there is the big question: what would we get in return. And the fact here is that the only teams who would trade for a 33 year old making almost 20 mill next year are the teams that are really close to a championship, and in those cases I guarantee we won't get fair value in return.

Second, there is the off court aspect. It becomes a lot harder teaching about ubuntu, unity, celtic price, and putting the team first when you have an all star put his numbers aside and really buy into the team concept and then "reward" him by shipping him off the first opportunity you get, because he played poorly in one series...
