No.  I'll be very dissatisfied, because in game 6 they didn't play like every possession counts (turnovers...are my pet peeve).

I'd be disappointed because we've shown we can beat Orlando this series. And when you have a game 7 on your court you should win it.

I won't be dissappointed with this season. This team played great ball earlier this year and looked well on its way to a number 1 seed potentially again and a title defense. Then KG went down. Without KG we really had no business winning 62 games in my opinion. Without KG we cannot win a title unless every other contender had a similar injury.

We've clawed hard to just get by the Bulls, and we've shown great stuff coming back three times, twice successfully, against an Orlando team that has more depth/talent than the Celtics. This team has been a pleasure to watch.

If we lose to this Orlando team -- which we are better than, even without KG and Powe -- I will be disappointed.

I totally agree Roy. It's ECF or bust/disappointment for sure.

I think you guys should be disappointed if the Celtics lose Sunday.  The Celtics are at home against that mentally weak Orlando team.

Celtics win by 15 sunday

I think there's two ways to look at this. The first is from the short term perspective and the second from afar taking in the big picture.

Short term, or in the absolute now and present, I will be disappointed because they had last night's game and then preceded to score 20 points in the last 19 minutes of the game and handed the game over through turnovers, timidity, and lack of focus. Ray and Paul just looked like they were "afraid"(I know, bad word, but I already used timid) to take important shots down the stretch(more so for Ray than Paul). Then having game 7 at home and playing what I think is a mentally inferior team, if we lose, I will be bitterly disappointed.

All that said, taking a look at the big picture and reviewing the 2008-09 team as a whole, I couldn't be more happy and proud of this group of players. Rondo and Perk are worlds better now than I ever expected them to be. Baby has turned himself into a legit sixth man option off the bench. Ray and Paul had wonderful seasons. Doc showed me that he's an even better coach than I thought by getting so much of this team and leading them as far as he did.

When KG went down I thought, well, so much for homecourt, but if he can come back healthy, we can still win this all. When it was clear that he wouldn't be returning or being a factor at all, I thought, we might still be able to get to the Finals. But then Leon, Baby, and Scal all got dinged up. Then Leon was gone too. Given the adversity, given the player improvement from three young players, given that it looks that Paul and Ray should be very, very good for another ear at least, I have to say I am proud to call this team mine.

How can anyone not be satisfied with what has occurred here this year but at the same time not be truly disappointed? It really is a two edge sword as expectations were for a championship and expectations and our brains tell us we should beat Orlando. So if we don't win it all or even beat Orlando, there is much to be disappointed about. But there is also a ton to be satisfied about and a ton of stuff that lends hope and credence of great thinngs still to come with this group of Celtics.

We better rock the house for this game 7. Ray, Steph, Eddie, Paul and Scals will be 3 bombing after we beat them up in the paint for a while.

KG comes back for Cleveland and we take them 7.

No I want to keep watching the Celtics this season.

But I think we are definitely seeing their limitations without KG and Leon Powe. The game is a struggle for the rest of the players.

In 2003, we beat a better Indiana team w/o a bench. We had neither Rodney Rogers nor a sober Vin Baker but still, we beat a reasonably deep squad with O'Neil, Miller, and Tinsley. That's the kind of team I wish these Celtics were, one which overachieves!

Today, neither Chicago nor Orlando are capable of beating us but yet, we'd let them back into the series, time and time again. I'm sorry, I'm not satisfied until we hold the Cavs to at least a six game ECF series. And if the King does deliver his men to the promised land then so be it, a superstar will have his day in the sun. That I'm fine with, in the mean time, let's get these upstarts out of the way.

The bulls have a good young front court who runs and gets people in foul trouble by pushing the issue. we have one true center and an undersized PF healthy to counter, and then one serviceable PF and no one else off the bench. it wasn't surprising to me at all that a team built around 4 players over 6'10 stayed in that series and competed, doubly so with how rose and gordon played.

And i know its fun to act like Orlando isn't good, but they are. We are going to beat them because there young and don't have it between the ears, but to contend that with two key injuries we're still "letting them hang around" is ridiculous. Howard is a great center, and were lucky perk is playing him so well. Lewis, while he can't lead a team due to attitude, is a huge mismatch for us with only the much smaller baby and scal active at PF.

If they had a brain in their heads and went to that match up more (lewis V baby or scal on the perimeter), they would have closed us out already.

I'm sorry if I find this question insulting. We cheer for the BOSTON CELTICS. The GREATEST FRANCHISE in NBA history. You are cheering for more than a basketball team. You are cheering for a tradition of Championships. You are cheering for the team that MADE basketball the way it is today. To cheer for the Celtics is not only to cheer for glory for the city of Boston. It is to cheer for the love of the game itself. The Championship trophy is ours, and everytime another regular basketball team wins the Championships, we are forced to LEND it to them. As Celtics fans, Championships are our birth right. So NO, NO, NO! I won't be satisfied. And no Celtics fan in their right mind should be.

No.

I will be satisfied with Rondo, Davis, and PERKINS' development though (can't even believe I'm saying that Perkins is good at this point...but it's true).
God bless and good night!

The Orlando Magic are a really good team... They are on the verge of title contention. Loosing to them in 7 games, considering our injures and lack of front court depth, would still be respectable.

Pushing the Magic to 7 games is overachieving. We're smaller then them at almost every position (starting and bench). We're more beatup then them. And we are much less skilled in the front court. I love the effort of this Celtics team.

And to be honest, the silver lining in loosing game 7 is more rest in the off-season.

Having said that, the Magic are young and mentally fragile. The Garden is gonna be rockin! Game 7 is gonna be huge! And I expect a Celtic victory!

Go Celtics!!

Thats your feeling, and your welcome to it, but I don't consider us failures if we don't win it all. This team has busted it's tail and is playing way above its head with its best DPOY out and exactly two guys who can claim to be front court NBA players.

I like to think i'm a celtics fan in my right mind, and I'm pretty happy with the heart this team has shown. All i ask is that they fight every game, and as they proved in round 1 and in this series, your going to have to knock them out, even if injuries and a crappy offseason bench wise is bringing them down to earth.

agreed. I love how people nationally still crap on perk. Some talking head was calling out howard for not being able to dominate, and i quote, "kendrick perkins, of all people. come on Dwight!" and all i could think was "wow, you don't watch this kid enough."

as roy said, name 5 more complete centers, on both ends than perk. I can think of three clear cut ones, then the waters get reaaaalll muddy.

But he still gets treated like some scrub.

To throw in one more Kubrick reference, Perk has a little of this in him...

I love that about him.
