GOOD MORNING, CELTICSBLOG!!!!

Welcome to advancement Thursday. The Celtics go down on a mission to win this game and get ready for the Cadavers on Sunday.

There is open dissension in the Mental Midgets camp this morning and the national media is all over there case.

The Celtics have only played well when they needed to play well this post season. That is a sign that they are a mentally tough. Orlando is a classic front running team and they have almost lost a game after leading by 28 in the 2nd half. Even in that dog of a game three, the Celtics did cut into the lead in the 2nd half but faltered after closing to within 9.

I just think that Boston will break out and put Orlando down early and get control of the game and put away the Mental Midgets. Orlando is going to have to press the control alt delete button after tonight and start over.

Dwight Howard has surprised me with his FT shooting prowess this series. Rondo and Ray Allen have been surprisingly inconsistent. Glen Davis is now Mr. Clutch. This series has been full of surprises - mostly not so good from the Boston point of view. I know the Celtics are capable of much better. I doubt it from the Mental Midgets. So while conventional thinking calls for Orlando to win decisively tonight, I'm going contrarian on this one.

See, THAT'S how you rack up TP's  ;)

TP FL!

I'm not very optimistic about this game, Orlando will come with fuel and Boston should come with fuel to but the Amway Arena's rims look angry with the Celtics so far.

I really don't know what to expect from the Celtics since I've been expecting a Ray-Ray classic performance for 3 games now (for example) so I'll just say go Celtics, please close out the series tonight and thus avoid a dangerous game 7.

It would be nice to see a remake of Game 6 in Detroit last year... down by 10 going in the 4th and then winning the series at the end of the quarter.

Hopefully it will happen again tonight. I'll watch the game tomorrow since I won't have the chance to watch it live. Enjoy the game fellas!

And that said, I pray that Stan Van Goober's son isn't trolling around in here, copying off my messages and sticking them on the Orlando lockerroom bulletin board. Oh well, you sign up for the blogs, you take your chances.

Ref (home won loss record)
Dick Bavetta  (49-26)

Dan Crawford (52-35)

Marc Davis (45-25)

Bavetta can be brutal.  He likes being the center of attention and often appears to have an agenda against one team or another.  He was one of the refs accused by Donaghy of influencing games at the behest of the league office.

I think we might pull off a win in game 7, but tonight I'm totally expecting a blowout.   We couldn't have gotten more lucky than the last two games.    Game 4, our 3rd string PF (12th man at the start of the year) hits two unbelievably miraculous shots at the end including a game winner.  That, my friends, is more leprechaun than basketball.    In game 5 we were horrible.  Terrible defense and couldn't hit a shot to save our lives.  Any other team closes out that game with their 14 point lead.  Somehow Stephon Suckbury (shooting something like 28%) randomly goes off for 12 points in the 4th.  LUCKY... And then the refs hand us a free possession off a bogus call that should have been an airball.  Unbelievably lucky.  The Leprechauns are overworked, if you ask me.   How do we expect to win tonight?... Mikkie Moore going to have a triple double?

Didn't you say we didn't have it and were gonna lose by 27 last game?  If so I feel pretty good about this one.

...except for the presence of Bavetta - I'm never comfortable with him out there.  Hopefully we can play well enough to not have to worry about things like that.

This Orlando team is starting to self-destruct; if we can get an early lead there's a good chance they'll start backbiting one another and we can get the team to implode early.  Can't assume that'll happen with this bunch though.

:)  Yeah I did.  Amazing how lucky we got to win.  We stole the last two games from them.  I don't count on us stealing another.

Btw that "orlando is self destructing" stuff is total hogwash.  Media spin.  Don't buy into it.  It's total nonsense.  If they come out tonight and beat us by 36 points would anyone really be that surprised?

I will. Orlando has the talent. But this group has a history of choking and not being mentally strong.

I just hope our shots are falling. If they are, the defense will be set, and the C's will be busting their butts.

No matter what the outcome, I just want to see the C's busting their butts.  When we get after it on the defensive end and on the 50/50 plays like long offensive rebounds, etc. we are hard to beat.  If the Magic beat us with us doing that, more power to them.
