BBD should apologize but the kid was way to close to the court. Dad should apologize for not watching his kid and for not teaching him how to act at a game.

I don't see any reason why baby should apologize.  It was in the midst of a celebration and not intentional.  If he wants to apologize, he can.  However, the dad should apologize to baby for saying what he said about him.  THAT was out of line.

I see. So only INTENTIONAL acts are things that should be apologized for... That is absolutely ridiculous. Saying "I'm sorry" is the easiest thing to do that would have ended this. All parties would have felt better. BBD would have looked like a great guy. How is that so hard to understand?! If you MEANT to do something like that an apology really doesn't cut it now, does it? Accidents are resolved with a simple I'm sorry. Maybe you should go back and think about what you were taught while a child.

The bad behavior by the father has nothing to do with what BBD chooses to do. His comment that BBD was raging was 100% accurate. Go look at the tape. Look at his face. Look at him cursing up to and taunting the fans. No he didn't mean to bump into that kid, but the father was only wrong with his demanding of an apology. It shouldn't come to that. His intentions were bad. If BBD doesn't apologize HIS reasons are bad.

Would the dad be making a big deal about this if, upon review, they disqualified BBD's basket and the Magic won? I don't think so.

Any truth to reports that Bill Kennedy tried to call Baby for an offensive foul on the contact?

I agree.. apologies aren't only for when you're in the wrong. Even though the dad has backed off from his initial claims, I still think Baby should apologize. If apologizing makes a fan and his kid feel better and it doesn't take anything away from Baby (he still made the game winning shot of his career) -- then apologizing is the right thing to do.

The guy called BBD a raging "lunatic" and a raging "animal".  The fact that you're okay with that, and defend the father's choice of words, seems to be more motivated by your stated dislike for BBD more than anything else.

Unless, of course, you truly think it's okay to go around calling people animals.

Good.  I'm glad the moron isn't coming to Boston.  I love how he implies that Bostonians are uncivilized because of their "nasty" comments, after he called BBD an "animal".

lol honestly i know its not that funny because the kid could have got hurt but davis did an awsome impersonation to will farrell that child.

If you think about it, it was sort of hilarious as the child was ready to jump for joy and instead looked like he was going to cry after the shot went in and big baby to add insult pushed him aside

anybody also find the way baby gets pumped up funny?? he looks like a bulldog with his purpose underbite stare lol

danny drafted brilliantly

If the dad absolutely had to be such a jerk about it, he should have gone to the league office or the Celtics quietly, rather than simultaneously alerting the press to it.

That would have given them the time to have Baby respond in a positive-PR kind of way.  Now everyone will see anything Baby does to acknowledge the kid or make amends as being coerced.  (Because, of course, it will be.)
