The kid is obviously a flopper.  Big Baby barely touched him LOL.

He needs to take flopping lessons from Pietrus.  If BBD hitting Pietrus sends him flying across the court, this kid should have ended up at least in the 5th row.

It is amazing to me how we wear such green colored glasses on this site.

Look at it for what it is.  Yes, it was inadvertent.  Yes, there was no malice or intent.  Yes, his dad is making a big deal out of nothing. But yes, he should publicly apologize.  A fan is a fan, a kid is a kid, and there's just no place for that.

Baby didn't do anything intentionally wrong, but the kid could've gotten hurt.  Not apologizing is inexcusable.

Okay, so I'm missing your point, Davis did nothing wrong, it was inadvertent, and without any intent or malice. So what is he apologizing for? Should players make a public apologise when they dive into the stands to save a lose ball? It's just plain silly. You sit on the court and there is a chance you might get run into. I don't think he owes this fat slob's kid anything. I trully believe the league gives him free tickets or something along thoughs line. I think he's a jerk and I hope his kid get's his scrupples from his mom.

Should he publically apologize everytime his momentum takes him into the stands?

Maybe the ref should apologize for being in his way, and forcing him to run out of bounds.

Seriously, those are dangerous seats.  This guy was a season ticket holder, so I am sure he knows it.  If you are afraid for your kid, then you should not have him sitting there.  Anyone sitting in those seats needs to be expecting to be run over and crashed into.

The only thing that had any potential to be hurt there was the kid's ego.  And that is only because his dad is a (well, I will let your minds fill in a word here), who felt the need to act like his kid was a 3 year old toddler who couldn't take care of himself, just so he could get his own name in the paper.

This guy is just trying to get publicity for his company. I mean, come on...

Did I see a Clevland Cavs fan jumping up and down with joy in that video? Weird.

Wearing a Cavs jersey, rooting for the Celts, probably had a Lakers hat on. My nominee for Frontrunner Of The Year.

Baby will probably apologize, but he did nothing wrong, and the dad clearly exaggerated the incident by a ridiculous amount.

If that was Lamar Odom who shoved a kid at the Garden, you would all be yelling the other way.....the hypocrisy is amazing!

I've been reading this site for a very very long time. I may be wrong in my assessment of Davis, but I'm certainly not wrong on the above statement.

I think you're wrong. I would not care if Bill Laimbeer did it tomorrow. You get courtside, you might get a lil mashed up. Its a price you pay to see the game from the best possible place. If one of the players sweats on a guy's suit no one is gonna send him a sorry card. Guy shoulda sat loge seating if he wanted a no contact experience.

See, I think it's going too far to say that BBD "shoved" the kid.  BBD is one of the strongest players on the team -- and certainly, the biggest -- and if he pushed anybody, they'd go flying.

What BBD did was more like an unintentional nudge.

What if the waitress spills the beer in loge? That could be contact.

There's really no safe options going to a game. I'm willing to organize a mass collection of all tickets to future games from concerned fans who are nervous about their proximity to the court. I'll dispose of them properly to ensure no one has to suffer the indignity of being too close to their favorite players.

You're welcome.

For those of us who have had the experience of going to a pond or lake without authorization, usually you saw a sign that said "swim at your own risk",maybe the NBA better post signs on the floor level with the same idea in the future. LOL

No, I don't think that is the case.  If Odom actually knocked him down or something, then perhaps you might have an argument, but Davis barely touched the kid.
