It is amazing to me how we wear such green colored glasses on this site.
Look at it for what it is. Yes, it was inadvertent. Yes, there was no malice or intent. Yes, his dad is making a big deal out of nothing. But yes, he should publicly apologize. A fan is a fan, a kid is a kid, and there's just no place for that.
Baby didn't do anything intentionally wrong, but the kid could've gotten hurt. Not apologizing is inexcusable.
Should he publically apologize everytime his momentum takes him into the stands?
Maybe the ref should apologize for being in his way, and forcing him to run out of bounds.
Seriously, those are dangerous seats. This guy was a season ticket holder, so I am sure he knows it. If you are afraid for your kid, then you should not have him sitting there. Anyone sitting in those seats needs to be expecting to be run over and crashed into.
The only thing that had any potential to be hurt there was the kid's ego. And that is only because his dad is a (well, I will let your minds fill in a word here), who felt the need to act like his kid was a 3 year old toddler who couldn't take care of himself, just so he could get his own name in the paper.
