Perkins isn't getting enough credit for doing the dirty work in this series. Although Rondo had a good second half, Perkins' play has been consistently strong in the last four games. He's a big defensive problem for Howard, he's rebounding, blocking shots - and scoring on the block.

Really pleased with his contributions thus far.

Perkins is the ROCK of this team. I think Dwight has only hit like 2 out of his post up shots in this entire series. He does all of this and does a great job of protecting the rim. I love guys that are fine with getting none of the recognition and know their role.

Agreed.  Perk has made big strides this year.

indeed. perk has played howard huge. those running hook shots he has forced howard into? has played great one on one D on howard and big on help D. hitting his baby hook, hitting 15 footers. hitting the boards. great for perk. big props to him.

great win...so satisfying. imagine if ray didn't rim out so many shots tonight...btw, i have no clue what is going on with ray's shots. he's getting good looks, but is just rimming out so many

I just think its bad shooting luck for Ray. The same thing for Pierce. Meanwhile, I thought the refereeing was atrocious and one sided for Orlando in the 4th quarter. Dwight Howard does not impress me at all. I'm surprised he shot 80% from the line. THat gave the Magic a prayer for the refs to bail out their sorry arses.

BBD, who is only being asked to replace KG, did everybody associated with the Celtics proud by nailing the buzzer beater. And props to Pierce for finding the right shooter.

Aw man, stupid Yankees won.  On the other hand, Fox Sports has a banner headline above a picture of the Fakers that reads "No Heart."  Priceless

Davis will battle and battle, and in the off-season he'll work hard to improve. NO question in my mind that he'll be a valuable sub off the bench next year. Hopefully, he'll have veteran help.

Great win. We just need to get Ray going from 3 and we'll win this series. Perkins needs to be okay too.

Overall the game was well officiated. In the fourth they let a lot more go that they had been calling earlier. But for the most part they were consistent. Every big man was in foul trouble.

Only three calls got me mad. Pierce's 5th foul, the non-call late when Howard jumped into him on a drive, and Gortat pushed Pierce to get a put back.

If you only spot three bad mistakes as a fan then the refs did okay.

Another thing.

Mad props to Doc for a masterful job of mixing and matching off the bench, using fouls, plugging in and coaxing some defense out of a team that had gone five quarters without playing any.

Rivers did a great job tonight, including calling a fine play at the end of the game - made shot or not. We got a good look. All a coach can do.

As for the officiating ... I am still very unhappy with the very uneven way the high screen is being called in this series. The next legal screen Howard sets will be the first one today.

Wow, Big Baby, big shot! Let's just hope Perk's shoulder is ok. Scares the hell out of me every time he walks off grabbing his shoulder.

im not going to lie, I was screaming at the tv.  that last play looked like it was going to be the typical suck play of pierce waiting till last second and taking an obscenely difficult, fade away while double covered.

Thankfully it worked out, but I still dont like the play that much.

What don't you like about the play? It's the second time this same play has worked for us this year.

What didnt I like about the play?  the fact that it seemed like they almost took too long.  as it was running down, I wasnt sure Baby was even going to get it off in time.  what else?  the fact that even given baby having made the last one and Pierce and Ray not shooting great, I still prefer either of them shooting it (in a set play, obviously i didnt want pierce shooting a double covered fade away).

I cant complain about the results, obviously, but that play concerned me
