By reading the Magic fans' comments they are absolutely stunned! Imagine if Anthony Johnson did put a buzzer beater on us!  ;D

AJ's a vet and known quantity.  BBD just took a big leap tonight on the clutch scale.  Man, am I a proud C's fan!

Thank you for putting together this amazing blog. great writing all around (i seriously think steve is one of the best bball writers around). and man, forums are far better than the magic's blog of one huge thread on the front page.  (dont get me started on that bulls blog  ;))

One of the many nice things about BBD making that last shot is that in the future teams are going to have to game plan more around BBD, which should open up more opptys for RA and PP.  Love it.

And fouls. God, we're awful at the foul line.

im not going to lie, I was screaming at the tv.  that last play looked like it was going to be the typical suck play of pierce waiting till last second and taking an obscenely difficult, fade away while double covered.

Thankfully it worked out, but I still dont like the play that much.

I have to agree. I didn't even shout when the shot went in. I was hanging my head wondering what we were doing with Rond dribbling out the clock and not giving PP time to set up. I guess that is why I am sitting on my couch watching the game and Doc and crew are making decisions/plays.

well, you should consider that the opponent plays defense, too...

well, to be honest, it obviously didn't work perfectly but we got an open shot and hit it, just forget it was BBD who hit it!!

I almost feel like crying.

Glad you only "almost" feel like crying.  No telling how I'd hold'em back if BBD had missed.

Dwight Howard rightly receives recognition for his greatness.  He is an all-pro center at 23 years old.  He is only 1 year younger than Kendrick Perkins.  Perk has been out-played by him in this series -- but not by much.  Perk will absolutely get all-star attention next year if he can carry over his playoff performance to next year.  He has been amazingly solid.

  • Let's Go Celtics
I think I've heard Let's go Red Sox, Let's o Bruins, and Let's go Celtics chants at Fenway all in this half inning.

What a great night.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Just caught up on Tivo, was out with the parents for graduation - I LOVE BABY!!!  These playoffs and especially this game were worth every single ugly clanked jumpshot we watched in November and December.

I love this team!  Never count out the champs!!

Perkins isn't getting enough credit for doing the dirty work in this series. Although Rondo had a good second half, Perkins' play has been consistently strong in the last four games. He's a big defensive problem for Howard, he's rebounding, blocking shots - and scoring on the block.

Really pleased with his contributions thus far.

I love how Davis pushed that little kid HIL-AR-IOUS

Better than Pierce dissing that Cavs kid.

[dang], I missed Davis pushing the kid part. It must be beautiful.
