nothing like an old fashioned arse whooping to get you refocused..i highly doubt orlando plays this well sunday night...and i highly doubt boston plays this poorly...depends all on perk if he plays or not...but boston has been throughly embarassed tonight

It's a competitive second round.  Now we know how Orlando fans felt on Wednesday.  I'm not gonna get busy pointing fingers and I am not interested in conjecture about Perk's foul, what I want to know is how our team moves forward to win this series.  Our Celtics can absolutely do it, but it's no cakewalk and no gimme.

The review of Perk's flagrant 1 will determine whether or not the Celtics have a chance in this series.

I am really disappointed that we couldn't take advantage of the Rondo match up.
I thought that would be a big advantage for the Celtics tonight but it never materialized.  Rondo didn't play poorly, but I thought he was going to abuse the Magic and really lead the offense.

Looks like the C's just ran out of steam. Paul whenever you want to wake up and start playing we can move on beyond this mediocre team, until then get used to this.

But at least we got home court!

(sorry, just had to throw that in there)

I'm sorry you aren't watching the game, but Pierce has been our best player tonight.

In fact, he's having a much better first two series than he had last season.

Since after the break. At one point, he was 2-10, IIRC.

I am assuming your comments are directed at me since I am the one that mentioned Paul's game, if not sorry, if so that's just a silly comment. I am indeed watching the game, and I am not enjoying it, if you think Paul has had a good series then I am sorry, we disagree quite a bit. Yes he is scoring right now at the end of the game when they are down 20, but until he starts playing from the jump he is putting this team behind the eight ball. Just keep the comments related to the game no need to insult people.

Who have I insulted? Are you accusing me of insulting anyone? Please answer ASAP.

I'd recommend you to re-read my post. I said two things:
- Pierce was our best player tonight.
- he's playing better than he did last season in the first 2 series.

Apparently you read different things (that Pierce is having a good series).

I wish you could take Tommy Points away because the lot of you who are whining like grandmothers about this game are sad. Perk nailed a guy in the thorax and we are watching our beloved Celtics go down 2-1 - sure it sucks, but give it a rest already. It is only down 2-1 to a very good team. We are missing a huge player for us and yet we are in our second series and not dead yet.

Is it likely the Magic win this series? Sure it is. It was likely before Perk fouled like that. But why all the crying? I am diehard, believe me, but come on already. The Celtics have given us an amazing 2008 and even with the struggles in 2009 they are the defending champions, a team just a man away from being dominant (KG) and able to extend this series...and maybe even win it.

Ask yourselves though - even if Boston wins this series, do you really think Cleveland is not headed to the finals? Sucks for me too, but reality is reality. The Celtics have nothing to be ashamed of - they have done more this postseason so far than I expected. THey way they won game two was shocking...and very enjoyable. This game tonight sucks. Hard. That's life as a fan.

Stop the whining, wipe away the tears and enjoy the Celtics as long as they have life left this season.

And besides, think of what I have been saying since day one of the postseason: at least it is impossible for us to lose in the finals to the Lakers this year ;-)

On the other hand, when the game gets close, we stop getting calls, and every time the Magic drive to the basket, it's a foul.

Yep -- as I said earlier. Every time the Celtics lose it is the refs' fault. In fact, the refs made Perk elbow Pietrus in the thorat.  ::)

You're so funny. That rolling eyes smiley gets me every time. Ha ha ha. You should be writing for The Office with that biting sarcastic wit. We heard you the first two times, stop being an NBA apologist.

But you blame the refs, yet Pierce has now been to the line 14 times. You guys gotta realize that the C's did not come to play for much of the game tonight. And, that offensive foul they just gave to the C's was a bad call for Orlando. Take off your green colored glasses once and awhile.

You just seem to go way over board trying to not be bias towards the celtics. It's almost like any time someone complains about a call you try and justify it

Bottom line is the officials have had NO IMPACT on this game and the incessant whining is ridiculous. Celtics played like crap tonight and played NO defense. They were totally outplayed by Orlando tonight. The Magic is going to score 120 points.

oh ok i didn't know we were only allowed to complain about the celtics play tonight

Only point I am making is that the refs had NO IMPACT on the outcome of this game tonight.

No impact? Of course it's only one of many reasons the C's are losing, but no impact? Really? Howard being allowed to goaltend, Gortat being allowed to take four steps on a break, Lewis getting to the line any time anyone breathes on him, Howard being allowed to set illegal screens? No impact. Again, quit being an NBA apologist. Defense suffers when you know that every time you look at an opponent funny you'll get whistled. The Celtic offense has been terrible, but to say the officiating has had no impact is freaking absurd, I'm sorry.

Absolutely NO IMPACT. It is going to end up 20-30 point loss. Celtics made an effort for about 6 or 7 minutes tonight. Again -- Celts played like absolute CRAP and lost the game on their own. They should be ashamed of their lack of effort and interest.
