I was rooting for Wade but LeBron deserves it, congrats to him, he had a truly impressive season and he is going to dominate the league for the years to come.

I think the only other guy who should have been in consideration was Wade.  Lebron is a deserving choice.

Even if you agree with the league's definition of "most valuable", you must really, really dislike Kobe to not acknowledge the heavily documented fact (by the media) that this MVP "race", in lieu of Wade's scoring title, was between LeBron and Kobe.

That said, LeBron might be the first guy I can remember that if I think about "how good is this team without this one guy" actually meets my own personal definition of MVP.  Cleveland wins maybe 10 games if they don't have LeBron.

I still can't stand the guy.

So now the media's opinion becomes "documented fact"?  In my opinion, the two players who meant the most to their teams this season, and the two players that had the best year, were Lebron and Wade.  No, Kobe doesn't merit discussion for the top slot.  Heck, take Pau Gasol off of the Lakers, and I'm not sure they're that much better than the Heat.

Hooray, I had money on him to win it at the start of the season. $120 coming my way!

You can bet on that?
You can bet on anything

Like, say, will Redz' chickens lay
green eggs the next time they lay eggs?
 ;) ;D

Congrats to LeBron.

That narrative died around February or so, when most of the analysts shifted to talking about Wade's chances of taking it over LeBron.

LeBron deserves this award, he's the most valuable and best player out there.  I can't stand his oncourt antics and the apparent officiating double standard he benefits from (remember Pierce's "charge" on LeBron in Game 6 last year?), but I've thought since his rookie year that he's going to be in a 2-man conversation for greatest ever when he retires, so I might as well try to appreciate what he does on the court.

haha. TP for you sir. I'd venture to guess he wasn't even thinking Big Bill Russell when he made that post!

Lebron definitely deserved the MVP this year, though I was rooting for Wade to overtake him all season.

Better than Kobe winning it, but 10 games? Have you forgot about Mo Williams?

Another TP.  That's an awesome picture.

Yeah, there wasn't really any doubt that Bron would get it this year.  He deserved it.
