  • And the Truth shall set you free
We still have a half to come back from this.  Celtics shots will start to play.  Celtics have commit to defense.  Can't let your opponent shoot 50% and expect to win.  Play some defense.  Hit some shots and we are right back in this.

Usually when teams build big leads early, it's hard for them to hold it, ESPECIALLY if they're on the road.  You usually get a feeling one way or another if you're watching the game.  Any feeling that there might be a comeback in the working?  Again, I can't watch so I'm just curious.

they can't, I think it's obvious... I can't imagine they don't want to but they can't do anything, orlando is a better team overall!!

no they are not! the magic looked bad, which makes the 18 point lead feel like a wasted opportunity for us. the celtics played one of the worst halfs of basketball all season, zero free throws, awful spacing, bad turnovers, no passion, idiotic passes. If they played half as well as they did against the bulls they would be up 18 instead of down 18

Hopefully adjustments will come into play in the second half.  Keep in mind, what did the Magic do like 4 times last series?  They gave up big leads to the Sixers.  So let's hope that continues...

Although, I'm not very confident it will.

The problem is that the Magic are well rested and we are worn down and not able to expend the effort with energy that good to great defense demands.

However, down 18 is not insurmountable at all with a half to play. But I agree, alot of mistakes, lack of energy and focus has been on display, so far.

To be fair...the C's are using some make-shift lineups out there. Not a lot of them have played major minutes with each other through out the year so they basically look like crap at both ends of the floor.

Marbury is stepping up....good sign.

But the C's are not defending the pick and roll very well and not recovering to shooters quick enough.

Waking up after the 1st half would be nice, too.

There are some fundamental things that are going to have to change, or this one might end up at 30.

Move and create from the point, run hard off the screens, hit the boards on both ends, quicker rotations.

And so far, nothing remotely resembling any of the above is happening. There's no sign whatsoever of a comeback yet.

I mean seriously. Orlando is not that good. We can beat them. We're looking like the Grizzlies out there.

Orlando doubled their lead in four minutes after Pierce left, from 9 to 18 points. Big swing moment.

I think the Celtics are playing so bad because the Magic are playing some tough D... and defense gave us the championship last year, so they are a better team!!

Yes, is not great; but is logical that they would have trouble after the Bulls series. Doc is going to try to get Ray back into it and we know that he will eventually come through. But is great to see Marbury get some confidence. BBD is not playing that well; but is showing the consistency we need. Most troubling is Rondo's play. Pierce needs to get involved.
