I'll admit that once upon a time, maybe a year or two ago, I absolutely hated Scal... But last night he was phenomonal.
It's the case of a player playing much, much better on a good team... Where he looked awful when the celtics stunk 2 years ago.

past games scal was in he hit 3pts and played d...how come no one else seen these things before?...it's nuthin new

Lol, are you really implying Scal isn't a scrub?

I don't know about "scrub".  He's a role player.  He doesn't hurt the team when he's out there, and he hits his share of big shots.  He's not great at creating his own offense, and he's a poor rebounder, but he's a good defender, outside shooter, passer, and team player.

Scal is going to be very important in the Magic series, presumably asked to help contain Rashard Lewis.

I agree with this.  I don't think its fair to call Scals a scrub.  Scrubs don't play meaningful minutes in playoff games nor drill three pointers in crunch time.

Believe or not, Scals is an important part of this team.  He can play a couple of positions and his defense is sufficient for this team.  He's extremely cerebral on the court with his passing and he's able to move around without the ball.

He's going to be an important part of this team for the remainder of the playoffs.  Definitely not a scrub in my book.

I've always liked the Scal signing, from day one. Thought he wa s perfect 3rd string insurance policy at three positions ( Center, PF and SF ). An ultimate team guy, great Vet presence on a small salary who never complains about his time but is always ready to give 150% whenever he is called. He's a great, versatile 3rd string guy at three positions for you who can sometimes have great games, most of the time not hurt you and just play smart ball with a hard nosed effort.

He just looks like a basketball Dork to me. He doesn't look it, he is and I'm sure he'd tell you the same thing. He does not "look" the part. He's pasty, undefined, barrel chested and runs like a duck. But he's the type of guy you see on the court and chuckle to yourself...then when the game starts he's toasts you.

He doesn't look the part but he's a deceptively good athlete and a very intelligent player.

Maybe Napolean Dynamite isn't the right call. Who is Jackie Moon? Anyone have a picture?

awww...scal's points in the first quarter kept the game from being a double digit blow out...he can make the three..and he can play decent defense...they don't need 30 points from him...

Scals D on Lewis may be a key to this series.  I look for his role on defense to be stepped up big time.  Let's hope he is up for it.

Nothing wrong with this comparison. They both have skills.

Back to wanting Joe fired.

Perfect Shiggins, I forgot about Will Farrell, "Semi Pro"...it actually fits Scal better, word has it he has a good sense of humor...

Hard not to love Scal. The Dew, The head band, the great attitude, the BBIQ, raining threes from the Locker room, getting blocked by Rose on a dunk. There is much to like....

Seriously, I think that now with injuries but even before without so many injuries, Scal was playing some of his best ball in a Celtics Uni before he went down this year.

Always have liked the guy. Even when h'e not having a great game he's always "all in" when he steps on the court. Have to appreciate that.
