So I'm not seeing any CROTOR/CelticsThug-type rumor buzz today about KG suiting up. I was kind of hoping for a bit of drama around a possible KG appearance - even if it was totally manufactured.  :(

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw KG suited up at 31 Flavors last night. I guess he's pretty serious.

Better?  ;D

According to Ainge, it's up to KG and Doc to decide if he'll play. You can read the article here.

And here is the interesting quote (at the end of the article) :

Quote
Ainge may not be planning for him to play, but he did tell Jackie MacMullan of ESPN.com that if KG told him and Doc that he was ready to go and wanted to play he would.

I don't know what to think about it, it would be great to have KG on the floor (considering he is healthy) but the Celtics can beat the Bulls without him and avoid him a possible aggravation of his injury.

I believe Danny gave that quote, but I can't imagine KG hasn't been telling Danny and Doc that he's ready to go and wants to play all series long.  The idea that the team is just waiting for KG to say he feels good enough to go seems ridiculous knowing KG's personality like we do.  There's a lot of ambiguous statements and half-truths around this whole injury, and I hope some real info comes out this offseason.

I live in KG's town and I saw his white escalade with tinted windows pulling out of his driveway about an hour ago....

That's a little early to be heading to the Garden just to watch, isn't it?
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

So a 50% KG is better than a 100% Glen Davis just because he is passionate about winning? I mean I'd love to see KG out there as much as anyone but this is ridiculous. He won't help the team if he is as hurt as doc says he is.

 ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

A 50% KG might not be better than a 100% Big Baby; HOWEVER, a 50% KG is certainly better than a 100% Mikkie Moore or Brian Scalabrine.  I think that's the huge difference between not having him and having him for even 15 minutes.  The C's easily would've swept this series if they had KG even 10 minutes per game.

Still, I think he will and should come back, I just don't think he will or should this series.  If the C's can't dispatch the Bulls without KG, they aren't going to win it all this year anyway.  Let them go ahead without KG now and then see where he's at next week when we hopefully face Orlando.

If he played this would have been the best kept secret in sports history.  I'm leaning towards it's not even remotely happening until the next round which I pray we make.
