  • Rondo = Good

It's not poor performances that bother me personally.  It's ridiculously stupid decisions, and Rondo made at least two (the flagrant and the last shot).

Roy's on fire.

Because Rondo has played well, we can't call him out for poor decisions?

His blatant stupidity cost us a potential shot at the game.  His flagrant foul and terrible, non-aggressive play all night didn't help, either.  He deserves every bit of criticism he gets tonight; he looked like he mentally wilted.

Our fans will support him 100% come Game 7.  He's played like a star for most of the other five games.  However, if he'd played a little better tonight, we might be going home to play Orlando, instead.

Quoted for truth. and A TP to Roy again. If Rivers is doing his job, he's going to sit Rondo down, break down the film and light into him.

Rondo is only as good as his last performance, and tonight's featured some absolutely unacceptable lapses in judgment.

Criticism is ok, it's that people are angry with the Celts that kills me.

With the effort they've shown, how can you be mad at them?

Maybe I'm too easy.  I see guys diving all over the floor, playing huge minutes...
Yup

He is one of many that deserve criticism.

Rondo, for the stupid foul and bad decision making at the end of the game

Pierce, for the TO and 6th foul.

Doc for his end of quarter management in the 4th and 3rd over time

Ray for not demanding the ball for the last shot (this one is more of a stretch)

Ainge for not finding an actual C to backup Perk.  (Moore does not count since he is a scrub SF in a C body)

No I agree.  They should've won the game in regulation, but whatever.  It's been an amazing series and they've played just as hard as the Bulls have.  They've been undermanned late in games every night but they're still fighting.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

you could say the same thing about paul. he didnt have a great offensive night and had a huge TO but i dont see anybody jumping down his throat. idk i'm just saying they are all most likely mentally and physically tired, cut them some slack. how many OT's this series?

Rondo played worse than Paul this game.  No one is untouchable on this squad; when they deserve criticism, for better or for worse our board will supply it.  Ray, Pierce, BBD, and now Rondo have all seen it, and frankly, they all deserved it.

Nothing Rondo did was as stupid as Paul's foul on Noah. He had no chance of bothering the dunk attempt, got out of the game on his 6th foul and gave Noah a FT. Throw in the turnover and they're even for that stretch of the game.

It was dumb, but it didn't kill their chance to win the game as rondo's did.

Thing is, I can forgive the players somewhat because it was triple overtime and they must have been ridiculously exhausted.  But Doc doesn't really have an excuse for the way he coached the team through the end of the 4th quarter and in the overtimes.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Ray for not demanding the ball for the last shot (this one is more of a stretch)

Yeah...  that one was the only one I disagree with.  I'm sure it wasn't Ray's choice to be passed over on Pierce's and Rondo's shots.

Oh, really?

Will you stand behind this statement if Rondo gets suspended for tossing Hinrich into the scorer's table?

What Roy said.

Roy Squared. Rondo played most of this game like he was afraid to get hit.

I didn't ever get a good look at the play, but fine. If Rondo gets suspended then he did, in fact, do something as stupid as that foul.
