i cant believe the game thread. every single person is complaining about rondo. first off, stat line wasnt bad. 8,19,9. second, how can u jump on him even if he didnt play great. pierce had a bad TO which led to a 3pt play. and someone said he cost us game 1 and 4? ****. how can you even say that. game 1 ray ray was off, and game 4 the ben gordon crap shouldnt have happened. lastly, people complaining about the final play, there is 3.2 sec left. what can u really expect to do in 3 sec. come on now give him a fricken break. hes averaging close to a triple double this series and is clearly the MVP of the series.

its not a single play which leads to the celtics losing - its a team game, team effort, team loss - blame the players and the coaches.  I do find it hard to blame Ray on this one though... sometimes you come up short though

I don't think anyone should complain about the players, at least not the starting 5.  They played their hearts out.  They made mistakes down the stretch, but I believe it was mainly because they are depleted and dead tired.  I blame Doc for his poor coaching by putting Tony in down the stretch.

Accurate; but you could point a million fingers at a million different plays and people tonight--and none of that would change the fact that that may well have been the best game in NBA history (from an objective standpoint of course).

I think this is a little too harsh.  Rondo made a lot of individual bad plays, including some very costly ones at the end, but his overall game was decent; 19 assists, 9 boards and no turnovers is nothing to sniff at.  We don't get to OT at all without Rondo tonight.  We've been seeing A+ Rondo - this was more like C-.  But those shots at the end killed us.

you could say the same thing about paul. he didnt have a great offensive night and had a huge TO but i dont see anybody jumping down his throat. idk i'm just saying they are all most likely mentally and physically tired, cut them some slack. how many OT's this series?

up 9 points, 5 minutes to go, the bulls are dead on their feet, rondo bricked two ft's. that alone gets him criticism. he has been awesome this series, but he let the crowd get to him tonight. he played ok, made some nice plays, but he was not at his best tonight. he will be fine saturday.

Rondo played worse than Paul this game.  No one is untouchable on this squad; when they deserve criticism, for better or for worse our board will supply it.  Ray, Pierce, BBD, and now Rondo have all seen it, and frankly, they all deserved it.

It's not poor performances that bother me personally.  It's ridiculously stupid decisions, and Rondo made at least two (the flagrant and the last shot).

8 OTs, and you're right about Paul, but he's beyond criticism. Really. His body of work is just to large and he's too dedicated. He's injured, both with the cut in his nose and a leg injury that hampers his lateral movement and crouching on D, so really, he's just too much of a warrior and has given to much to us to be called out as mercilessly as Rondo is being called out. Rondo's been great, but really only for about 5 games. Pierce has been going at it for 10 years.

Has Doc Rivers not been a play-calling genius this entire series? Big possession after big possession, Doc always gives his guys the best chance they have to succeed.
