What a dumb decision to replace BBD with TA up 8 in the 4th quarter. >:(  Did he forget that that lineup got them the lead!

I can't say anymore!

I apologize to all Doc haters. I was wrong. Get that punk outta here. Putting TA in when up 8. Calling plays 4 Pierce & Rondo with a hot Ray who has 51 points.

I'm wondering why Ray didn't touch the ball at the end of the game.  Why did we have the the ice cold Rondo taking jump shots?  If anything, he should be attacking the rim in that situation.

Hehehe - I'll send your thoughts along to Danny .  That was a terrible decision by Doc to put TA in; it was a reaction to Chicago going small, but I think we were better off with Baby on Salmons and a big rebounding edge.

Either Tony has money on the series or there is more to those death threats than we know.

TAKING BABY OUT AND PUTTING ALLEN IN WAS THE MISTAKE OF THE GAME...BABY WAS THE ONLY GUY GETTING BOARDS AND WORKING INSIDE...

I agree.  TA hurt us badly in his short time in there.  As for the play calls at the end, I started a separate thread on that.  I'm not sure Doc deserves the blame; the players have to make smart decisions with the ball.

Generally I like Doc but that was just unfathomably stupid of him to put in TA.  Seriously.  This loss is on him, the team fought valiantly to keep us in the game throughout overtime but after that 23-3 run we ought to have won it.

Where are all you "TA is the greatest defender ever" guys right now?! Doc puts TA in once the Bulls went small, and you should all be loving it since that is the guys specialty. You should be praising Doc for getting that guy in there. I'm not mad at anything except the fact that Doc for some reason still thinks this guy adds value out there.

Rondo's lack of D and O lost us this game. PP's getting lit up once again by Salmons cost us this game.

I would like to agree, but the bulls were going small. He wanted to slow them down.

He's kept TA out in other games, and that doesn't necessarily work either.

Sorry, but putting TA in the game in a crucial situation when he really hasn't played much at all AND taking the guy out who was playing well and helped you get the lead is asinine!

I'm a Doc guy to the end but the decision to take Baby out at that time for Tony was a bad, bad decision. I don't think that decision cost the Celtics the game as the offense the players on the court played was awful with pitiful offensive flow and bad decision making.

As much as I don't like Tony Allen he played a great game and I do not blame him for this loss. Sticking the ball in his hands late in the game with 2 or less seconds left on the shot clock and him having to take the shot, is not his fault if he misses. It is everyone on the floors fault for running p1ss poor offense.

That said, this was easily the second best game I ever watched besides the 3OT game versus Phoenix.

It was more taking out Big Baby that did the harm than having Tony Allen in the game.

not only that, the 5 was in a great rythymn, playing beautiful basketball. it reminded me of the 4th quarter of game 6 of the detroit series. down 10, little by little, make the comeback. great basketball on both ends. rondo's 2 missed ft's killed the momentum,. but doc putting in ta was inexcusable.
